The war rages on...
England has managed to land it's fleet in Norway. Time will tell if they have the strength to hold on to it. Russian forces are ready to strike from four different directions.
Meanwhile, France has been repelled by Germany and has retreated one army back to Paris.
In the south, it appears that our players have regained their sense and realized that Austria is not allowed to be a major power... ever. With assistance from Turkey, Italy has made great advances into the Balkans.

Next time I offer to step into a game, I am not taking Austria. You can take that to the bank.

Ah, yes. It is a noble but extremely difficult endeavor to play the Austrians, and one must be very lucky and superbly politik. Alas, the fortunes of diplomacy and the grace of Allah has not shone upon the Austrian empire. Perhaps a little more communication earlier on might have paid dividends. Hard to say, though.

Earlier on?!? I stepped in after the alliances had already formed. Its ok though, I had my fun as Turkey in the last game before Nash bailed out. We were already trying to decide who was gonna sit on the throne in England at the end. :)
