Really, who cares?
Ya, i find it odd too... Its only a means for "gametek" to promote their homepage :)
-
who the hell is gameteck?
looked at their site and theirs nothing on it.
seems like the site maker just went to ah and ww2ol forums and started chest thumping both to get people to see the site with the excuse or catch being to vote.

just found this on the user group forums there for AH
"To help make the AH group fun we are going to have a tournament. Here is a little info about it:
All registered members to GameTeck plus AH user group will be allowed in. This competition will go 32 weeks and be set for a couple different nights a week. Once you have registered with the site and user group just email ah@gameteck.com to sign up for the tournament. When you do this we will send you back info to get you more filled in on the competition. With info like: nights/what level you can choose to play on/scoring/etc. During these weeks we will have a spot on the site for all to view and see the rankings. at the end of the 32 weeks all scores will be tallied and we will crown this years first GameTeck AH Topgun.
Now for just bragging rights and to be in the tournament any registered GameTeck member and AH usergroup member can join, but we have added an extra bonus if the winner is a GameTeck Pro member. If any GameTeck Pro members come into the top positions they will win cash prizes.
Info on GameTeck Pro: For just a small fee of $10 a month you can become a GameTeck Pro member. As a member you will recieve newsletters/be rgistered for special contests we will hold/a download section that will sonn be added to allow you to download demos and things on up coming games before others/and the chance to win prizs on all tournaments and contests.
So remeber for registration and more info on the GameTeck AH Top Gun email us at ah@gameteck.com- please include:AH game name, GameTeck login name, and main email if not the one you send from. We will also give you more info on becoming a GameTeck Pro member if requested."
I think its a pretty cool idea and i thank you all for actually helping out. there were a few that didnt want to join in but we are doing good plus we are helping them out over there...and yes its a new site but all sites started that way.
-
Ahh the 10$ hook enters the waters.
-
all that is for is if you wanna join GameTeck pro no one really has to if they dont want to. that would just help for contests that offer prizes. the tournament they will have for AH is for anyone you dont have to pay 10 at all. they decided though that they were gonna actually have a prize that anyone could win in this tournament regardless if they were a pro member or no they just are deciding what to give now. but in order to to do it people have to be interested in the tournament.
-
see heres the post
"We have decided to give a prize to the winner in general. We believe that if the person put the effort into winning they should get a prize. So we need to see who is gonna join. We want this tournament to start the first week of Feb so please email ah@gameteck.com for registration and info.
Please include: main email/AH screen name"
so for all that are interested lets join up. remeber though they need u to be registered for gameteck and th ah user group so they can keep track
