Title: Dear Skuzzy
Post by: dedalos on January 14, 2004, 08:31:20 AM
This is probably going to get me in troble but I think I should tell you anyway.  When we talk about something on the BB it may not always solve a problem.  As a mater of fact, I don;t expect anything ever to get solved because I posted a message on the internet.  However, we would still like to talk about it.  Maybe you don't, but we do.  So, could you please stop locking threads evry time you think that we are attacking HT?  You never know, a new game may come on line thats as good as AH and with less "I don;t care about my customers" mentality.

Fill free to lock this one too.

There is some sarcasm in my post but if you think about it, none of these threads solve anything, however not all get locked unless something negative is said about HT.

Just make something clear, I love this game.  Its great. But don;t expect to hear that in any of the threads.  What you will hear is complains about things we don't like and would like changed.  Its a venting place.

So, don;t lock them and don't tell customers they are out of line when they make a sarcastic comment.  Its just makes things worse. :aok

I want to clarify something.  This board is not a venting place.  Let's get that one out of the way.

The board is another medium for communication for the community and the developers to use.  It is not a place to rant.  We have no place like that actually.
If a person or persons in the community has a problem or problems, then we need to see what we can to help, when possible.
Occasionally, there is nothing that can be done.  Hopefully that remains rare.

Help comes in many forms.  We have phone, email, and even this board to ask questions.  Some issues are best handled by direct communication with members of HTC.  Player problems are one of them as no one in the community can help in that area, except personnel at HTC.

Actually dedalos, I have never found anything to complain about in this game that i can remember. I have never complained about bugs either, cause they are usually solved over night or within a few days anyway.

For me AH2 is not even needed, ah1 is good enough for me :aok  I do understand that they needed to do it, but for me ah1 would have been enough for a loooong time.

2 things...

1) there will never come a game that is even close

2) i doubt this one will be locked

:)

I don't see how my post could have bothered you or why you felt like you had to take sides on this.  I just wanted to tell scuzzy something. He maybe right or wrong but that should not be any of your business.

If you just wanted to tell skuzzy something...why post it here on the BBS for all to read & comment on. Seems email might work better if ya just wanna tell one person something.

dedalos, even though the underlying point was comming across clearly that players should be a little more pro-active in self policing like they have in the past, bringing up incident after incident is not the right way to get at the point.  Discussing the pro's of letting players know they have community support, and advertising by majority voice what is not acceptable, should be done without who did what, when, and where.
If I understood correctly, presenting a discussion in that manner would be ok.  In other words keep it constructive, or dont bother. If I misunderstood, I hope he pipes in and corrects me.

dedalos...

I believe what Skuzzy is saying (and what he did say in the threat you are talking about) is that the BB's are no the place to bring that kind of complaint.

In fact, I believe Skuzzy pointed out the numerous ways that the kind of complaint you are wanting to discuss can be brought to HTC's attention. Try them...they work :).
