Boxed sims  can help with certain things, but in general the only way to get better at Aces High is to play Aces High.  With the differences in FM between games will affect what you can get away with and what you can't in a given situation, so knowing how a 109 performs in Il-2 won't nessesarily do you a lot of good in here.

I downloaded a demo, and found I'm already spoiled by AH's highly configurable controls interface. I was just looking for something where the drones would attack so you could practice and review the film of different evasives, and practice deflection shots that don't always go left. I didn't get far into the demo. Although the eye candy was pretty, I didn't see any useful tools and couldn't imagine using a different control system. It did have a pause button which is great if you don't have a lot of uninterupted time. Maybe AHII will think of putting that in for offline and an option to make drones turn right :).
