2004 Convention
We have noticed quite a bit of discussion in regards as to where and when the 2004 Aces High Convention will be held. In order to save anyone any unnecessary work or research, HTC has decided to announce that the 2004 Aces High Convention will be held in Grapevine, TX.
We have a tentative date of October 7th – 10th, 2004. It is possible it could also take place the weekend prior. These dates are based on when the Alliance Airshow is scheduled to occur. When Alliance confirms their dates, we will confirm ours. The Alliance Airshow organization will confirm the dates once the Blue Angels state when they can perform.
Please keep in mind that we are in the preliminary planning stages and nothing is written in stone yet.
We look forward to seeing everyone in 2004!
Regards,
Yankee

Was hoping it coincided with the 2004 National sheep show and Lamb exhibit also held in October in Grapevine.
One can only hope!

Count me in being there. I am not bringing a puter this time as I found myself drunk more then playing.

How true Like I siad looking foward to meeting some of you:D

Had a semi-drunken blast in Indianapolis... heck, I even won the 1v1 tournament. But, if the vets that pooped out last year show up in October, my chances of winning again much lower ;)
Can't wait to meet everyone else !

What was the bartender's name again?
Curv, yeahhh, I brag too much eh? :D
The Dayton airshow was a real treat too. Got some very nice shots.

That's the bartender, Kent. He was probably quite scared by the two drunken fools wanting to have their picture taken with him. :)
-
I dont think anything could have scared that man.
I have been saving this one :)

Watch out for that Mr Black guy, I heard some interesting stories about him. Perhaps he is some deviant pervert, I would be real careful when approaching him. At best, if you do see him, run! Don't walk! Run! Run as far away from him as you can. I heard he will be at the conference looking for a good time, long time.
:rofl

I moved out of Grapevine 2 years ago....
still I traded humidity and Flat for dry and 10,000 hills in my back yard
The only thing that will keep me away this year is the Balloon festia..... I crew for a German team every year
Gunns
The AIBF is Oct 2-10..... so my hope is that the Con happens the week prior......
Bring the Quad 20mm armed Hot air Ballon to AH

Geesh ... Wax reminds me Eddie Haskel, Loser is Wally and Bullethead plays the Beav.
I had much fun at the con. Didn't bring a computer last time and won't be bringing one this time either ... way too much fun to be had instead of flying.
-
omg slapshot, you are right. :rofl

No, he kinda dropped off the face of the AH earth. Hasn't posted on this or the squad BB in quite a while. He was going to Russia - maybe he's preoccupied with that.
I've got his phone number, maybe I'll give him a call one of these days.
And next con I make it to, I agree - not even gonna bother with a computer.
-
He posted a few weeks ago. His BBS name was "WHATTHEHELL".

NOT true ammo. I am nice IRL if people are nice to me. If people are *******s, then I'm an *******.
I'm usually a pretty cool drunk though, although I get some erratic mood swings when I've had to much. Anyway, I might go again and scare you all with my Ewok impression. Maybe a really small Wookie impression.... I guess I'd either be the Shaq of the Ewoks or the Earl Boykins of the Wookies.
-
I think I will try to make it again this year. Had a good time in Indy. Will see if Bullethead and Grimm will come again with their home made beer. :)
-
Yeah, I'd like to go again, if possible..... especially if it gives me another chance at the homebrew! ;) And to meet everyone, of course! :aok
-
Flossy, I'm not driving to Texas!

Good to hear from ya. Take your time dude. Look forward to your return and seeing you in Texas. Curval and I are in the same squad now, so if he comes this year, I will be requesting my own private bottle of rum to make the trip too. That watermelon was great with Coke.

Freezing my bellybutton off for one thing. Not a whole lot, going to the bars a lot. Will be back when AH2 is out, and yes I will be at the con, no puter but lots of booze :aok

That is just scarey lol. Yes it was from what I remember, I think that is what contributed to our downfall in the 2 on 2 ;)

Dallas sounds great, I'd come to this one, my wife even wants to come for the shopping and the airshow lol.

I wish to go AH 2004 Convention, but I don't have alot time to go there and I have alot plan this year like having surgery, first time to enter college, etc. I am looking forward to see next year, because I don't think I won't be so busy than this year and Im looking forward to met in person :D
BTW, Texas is not bad too far away to travel there and I live in North Arkansas which a little close to Texas. :D
