Title: Lo-Mac Revisited - Roll Call
Post by: DoctorYO on January 21, 2004, 03:14:11 PM
If you got the game and Fly Multiplayer sound off:

and on a side note what aircraft do you fly the most...

What nights do you fly...  Hyperlobby or (sic) Ubi...

DoctorYo - Mig29a (I'm a simpleton..) / F15 (now that radar is fixed)

SOUND OFF...

Having a good time with lomac.  Played on hyperlobby last night for the first time.  Coop mission was very smooth and a lot of fun.  Im in if you guys want to pick a night to fly.  My time is usually around 10pm central time.

I have been playing it a bit.  Tried some multiplayer, though direct IP with some friends.

NathBDP and I occasionally play LOMAC flying MiG-29s, Su-27s, A-10s, and F-15s.  I can't seem to get Hyperlobby working however.

I'm down, I'll download hyperlobby soon as I'm sure my computer won't melt on me (got a unpleasant burning smell last time I left it on for any length of time).

Levi did you have an old version of hyperlobby that you installed over?  I've had to delete the folder before installing the new one to work.

downloaded the demo today...fps is better than last time i tried it. Guess my PC was having a bad day or something.  Think i'll buy it tomorrow, i'm new to Modern flight sims but had fun bombing stuff and that 1v1 dogfight in the demo.

Do have a question tho-  Is there snap views? i can't seem to find how to enable them, i'm terrible tracking a/c at the moment without them.

You can get snap views by hitting Shift + the numpad keys (I think, at work right now and can't check)  The default snap views are pretty horrible in terms of maintaining exterior SA.  You can edit them aparently but you gotta fiddle with some of the .cfg files to do it.  There's info on it on the  Lomac Forums (http://www.lo-mac.com).

*edit* Instead of shift it may be CTRL  :) *edit*

It was a fresh install.  I hadn't installed Hyperlobby since a system reformat several months ago.  On startup, Hyperlobby gives me a fatal exception error with the following info:

Error Signature
AppName: hlpro.exe
AppVer: 3.5.0.60
ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1217
Offset: 000429e5

I'll try removing it completely and reinstalling, but I don't have my hopes up.

Todd,

Do you use MIRC on your computer?  Looks like that was causing his problem

From the boards:

"Problem solved!

Polaris script for MIRC caused that problem.
Every time you start mirc, "Program" file is created in disk root,
after renaming or deleting that file HL works just fine."

I'll keep loking for a solution.

Well i finally bought the game.:)  having a bit of trouble- i don't know how to land!:D    The tutorials don't work so i gave up on them (patch messes them up and i can't be bothered to reinstall everything).  When i touch down the tower tells me to taxi to storage or something, but i don't know where to taxi i've tried everywhere!   I downloaded the manual and it doesn't say either.  Well i guess i'm just stooopid!:D
