I will laugh at the dozens of threads that will degenerate into catfights, and tally up the locks imposed by Skuzzmeister.

Maybe I should start a pool for how many locks and bans that'll be dished out in November.

Considering the hilarity that was 2000, I simply cannot WAIT for 2004.  Remember the day that the "sore loserman" thing broke?  I recall my face aching from laughing for many hours in a row.  I wonder what will be the gutbuster this time around?

Already started....Howard Beale has spoken

DEAN'S BALLOT-BOX CONSPIRACY THEORY

Howard Dean unleashed a new line of attack yesterday by hinting at Republican corporate conspiracies to steal elections.
Discarding his old stump speech, slipping-in-the-polls Dean took an Oliver Stone-ish shot at the GOP hierarchy, telling New Hampshire voters about his fear that new high-tech voting machines will be programmed to steal ballots from Democrats

Sad thing is, many Democrats will buy into that. :(

Yeah, can't wait.  It'll be gripe and moan city regardless of the results of the election.  Conservatives/Republicans saying all Liberals/Democrats are the devil and vice versa.  We'll hear about how GW "didn't really win the last election" whether he wins this one or not, and if he takes Florida in this election too, god help us survive the conspiracy theorists.  No doubt there will also be in-depth analysis of sins the candidates committed, starting with when they were 13 and alone in their bedrooms.  And naturally, everything from a bad economy to AIDS in Africa will be blamed on the person elected, starting the first day they take office.

I will be marginally less disgusted than if one of the DNC candidates won, but I will still urge my fellow Americans to vote from the rooftops.  :)

Itd actually be kinda fun if Bush lost.

We'd have a field day playing Dean/Kerry is Hitler!  Shouting No Oil for Peace! and generally making a mockary of the Socialist adminstration with photoshoped pictures and statistical reports from http://www.ihatedean.com.

I'm still on standby, waiting to help Cher pack up and move to France after the last election...

Funny how all those who would move didn't...

Must suck waiting to lead an exodus and you're the only one that shows up!

Look at the posts in this thread and then tell me that GWB is truly a 'Uniter, not a divider' like he claimed to be.

It's sickening to think that this mentality has become the norm for the Right.

And you call yourself a Christian. Pretty harsh, Rude. I didn't realize how much hate and contempt you had in you. Now I do. You know, God loves all Americans. Why can't you?

Anyway, if you really need an answer....

I survived 8 years of Reagan, another four years of Bush can't  be that hard to take.

For the life of me I don't know why anyone would WANT the Presidency from here on out. No matter which side wins, the other will start digging for dirt, slinging mud at all 4 walls hoping something will stick.
[rant] America started losing respect for the Presidency during the Reagan Administration. Remember all the stories in the media about Ronnie and Mommy's astrologer, Mommy refusing to wake Ronnie during a crisis situation, ect, ect? The media was then branded as "The Liberal Media". Before that the press was considered pretty much even handed and legit.
During the Bush,Sr. years we started to get more mean spirited and "Infotainment" (not to be confused with actual news) started becoming all the rage. There was not an AM radio station that didn't have Rush Limbaugh or some equally obtuse wannabe spewing hate.
Aaah, The Clinton years. Now we kick the hate into overdrive. I swear if Bill had stayed locked in a hermetically sealed chamber for 8 years the Republicans would still have tried to impeach him. They spend MILLIONS investigating him and the best they could come up with was he got a ****job. If it wasn't for that Water Buffalo Linda Tripp setting Monica up on tape (I record every call I make.....don't you?) there would have been nothing at all.
The so-called "Liberal Media" had a field day with Clinton, just like Bush and Reagan before. It's not a Liberal media, it's a Shock Value media. If there's no story, then we skew the information to sound shocking enough to be a story. This nation has become very close to returning to the McCarthy era style of politics. If you ain't with me, you must be against me...and so are all your friends, co-workers, family and your little dog, too!
That's just my opinion, I could be wrong. [/rant]

Oh No!

Sorry but that is off the BS meter! It is the Right wing reaction to Bill that set the tone of our current politics. Saying Bill did it is like blaming the black man for the lynching.

"If Bush wins a second term, how will some of you deal with it?"

The same way as I do now.  Hope that the next presidential election comes fast.  Spend that bogus "refund" on something the house needs. Pray I do not get layed off and join the others that I know who managed to find a decent job paying a 3rd what they had, and needed.  Wonder if the blowhards talk about this new found concern for sanctity of marriage means he'll shut down the five minute quickie "Chapels of Love" in Vegas, which are all next door to the five minute quickie divorce outlets.   Hope any unpaid traffic tickets I have don't cause my name to accidently pop up on some other, unrelated computer list knowing that US citizens far less "due process" and civil rights now.   And continue to pray alongside several neighborhood parents that thier kids don't get sent over to the Middle East. And for those that unfortunately have that they come back.  Alive.

Watch the news and wait for America's next giant ****** up.

One-Party rule will be scary.

At least our sneering butter-ball V.P. has no chance to win in 2008, assuming he lives that long - and that we still have elections.

Dems, Reps, Cons or Libs.

Funny - the very people questioning every aspect of Bush's decision making process and throwing around words like 'gullible' towards his supporters are the first to believe comments twice as ridiculous - as long as there is a big (D) infront of their name on CNN.

Part of me almost wants to see a Democrat elected this year.  When he continues all of Bush's programs and ideas after campaigning against every single one maybe the party will lose some future support.
