Title: Snapshot "A Milk Run" 01/28, 01/29
Post by: Skyfoxx on January 24, 2004, 08:28:24 PM
In support of the upcoming Ruhr Scenario, the Snapshot team will run a modified version of"A Milk Run" (http://www.gremlinsden.com/events/snapshot.asp?snapshot_id=11) on Wednesday Jan 28 at 10:00 pm est and on Thursday Jan 29 at 3:00 pm est.
We will be using the new Ruhr terrain, Ruhr planeset and many of the same arena settings that will be used in the Ruhr Scenario next month.
Both frames will use normal snapshot scoring.

I will be your host on Wednesday while 68Falcon will run Thursday’s version.
The link above will give you some of the basic info for "A Milk Run" but please keep in mind that the actual arena settings, targets etc for this special Ruhr edition will only be found in the MOTD. A copy of the MOTD will be added to this post early next week.
The allied CO spot is open. If you would like to volunteer for the position, you may contact me here (rflynn@redfoxtv.tv) in advance or before the frame begins.  Axis pilots should report to CO skull12 for orders upon entering the arena.

As always, walkons are welcome but we want to extend this special invitation to all registered Ruhr pilots and squadrons for what should be an enviroment for some valuable practice time and of course, a lot of fun.
Roll time is Wednesday is 10:00 pm est in the SEA but please be early so we can get underway on time. There will only be time for one frame due to terrain distances.

cya there.

It says one life per pilot...if you bail successfully are you still concidered 'dead' and can't re-up?

You will not be able to reup a plane if you are shot down but allied pilots may man gunner positions for the buffs.

Here is the MOTD for the revised setup of "A Milk Run" that will be run Wednesday night. The Thursday snapshot may vary from this, at the CM's discretion.

Historical Background
Summer 1943
The United States Eighth Army Air Force is gaining confidence. Its complement is now up to 13 Heavy

fighting force capable of wresting control of the airspace over occupied Europe. Today, the assigned target
is a train station in Northen France at Lille, shipping aircraft parts for Messerschmidt. An easy mission...
But the pilots of the Jagdflieger are equally determined to send these upstart Yankees home with their tails between their legs...

Can there be more that one gunner at once for the B-17s?
