Hi,
Nexy June we'll be RVing full time around the country. The wife has a MASSIVE (to me anyhow) collection of VHS movies. Since space is critical in the 5th wheel I was thinking it would be sweet to convert them to DVD so she can watch them while we are on our trip. There are too many tapes to take with us.
Is there a unit you can buy to copy them onto a DVD disk?? We can carry lots of dvd's for same space as a pack of tapes. If not then she'll be really sad to lose all her favorite tapes. :(
Appreciate any info you might have.

Yea there is. Philips makes a VHS to DVD recorder. Not sure of the price though.

Check out Fry's or your local lotso computer geek stuff store. All it takes is a capture device, a DVD burner and a DVD editing program like Roxio (i hate roxio, but a friend of mine says it's pretty simple and it didn't fubar his 'puter).

Dazzle and Pinnacle have hardware/software systems for video capturing that are pretty user friendly and not very expensive. I did one of my college projects last semester with them. You can find them at most tech stores like CompUSA.
One of my long term goals is to convert my VHS copies of Black Sheep Squadron over to DVD.

Bodhi,
Video cassettes. Think movies and VCR.
