Title: Icons Driving Me Nuts

Here is a technical question for you savey XP types, my desktop icons are driving me nuts, my my computer and recycle bin icons keep changing to dat files each time I shut down or change identities I switch them to default and they come back until I log off and then they look like simple dat files again, they function ok but I cant seems to get them to stay icons. It must be a redgisty problem but I dont know how to fix it any thoughts?:confused:

First thing I do with XP is switch everything to winclassic mode.

There is a system performance option in XP that removes all the goofey image enhancing, imho this stuff just slows things down...

Let me know if you need step by step on changing the settings to classic...

My favourite way to change XP to classic mode is:

Format c:
Install W98/2000pro
Sell the XP cd to a retarded neighbour and watch him twitch in agony.
