Questions:
(a) How do you keep the dust off the models?

(b) What are the smaller figures across the top of the overhead?

(c) How do you keep people from picking up the planes and tanks and saying "Hey, this is pretty good." without breaking off the smaller parts?

(d) What's the faceless figure in the middle in the desert camo?

(e) How do you keep the tanks from falling off the top of the monitor?

(f) What's the "11456" model next to the panzer? A Curtiss?

Questions:
(a) How do you keep the dust off the models?

Hmm well I dont, some get dusty, and I just wipe them witha towel, they are not models though. They are all toys from 21st century toys, and they are toys so much more sturdy then plastic models. I had models in the cube,  but pulled them out do to some flying objects impacting my cube!

(b) What are the smaller figures across the top of the overhead?

Battletech minitures, from when I was a kid, I found them in a box years ago and took them into work for kicks.

(c) How do you keep people from picking up the planes and tanks and saying "Hey, this is pretty good." without breaking off the smaller parts?

Like I said before they are pretty tough, but most people just come by and comment, few touch anything.

(d) What's the faceless figure in the middle in the desert camo?

My budy took one of those posable figures for drawing the human shape and then put a 12 inch action figure uniform on it.... lol

(e) How do you keep the tanks from falling off the top of the monitor?

The treads move, but with some resistance so they stay put pretty well.

(f) What's the "11456" model next to the panzer? A Curtiss?

This is in the second pick down? One is a smaller scale tiger tank, and the picture is a pair of late model P-40s

LOL I used to think the same thing.... I even had a 1/35 scale model of an M1A2 in my cube that I built, a buddy came in with some big mexican fircrackers, like m-100 size.. way bigger then normal fire crackers.

We took the M1 and I put two inside and then video taped the resultss. LOL not even an inch scare hunk of plastic was left.

I lost interest in blowing stuff up when I read a site on how bad the mexican fireworks are, lol and then saw the pics of the people who had their hands blown off or worse...

took the fun right out of it.

Some of the facts they listed about the cheapy mexican fireworks were scarry as hell!

LOL those are required as part of the job!

I do tech support for Pinnacle Systems. I have customers send in DVDs and projects all the time to see if we can reproduce problems.

When are you guys gonna fix the bug in Instant Copy that undersizes transcoded video?  It is a shame a great program is ruined by this.

I know almost nothing about Instant. I work with S8 and now S9, send me and email and I will try and find out what the scoop is, the guy who sits next to me knows instant pretty well.

You need some children to find your favorite stuff, play with it, break it, and force you to replace all your models with  pictures of the kids. (*sigh*)

Basically this

Many try a 4.5GB oversize setting to see if the target size will come out close to 4.37GB. Sometimes this works, othertimes it still undersize by a large margin and even sometimes it'll oversize.. File size with Instant Copy is hit and miss.

If you use dvd shrink etc, the transcoding is spot on.  With IC, you never really know what the final size will be after transcoding.  I have several discs that were maxed out at 4.37GB on the slide, but after it transcoded and then burned to dvd, it came out to be 3.6GB so essentially you lose 700MB worth of quality, b/c it only filled 3.6GB out of 4.37 available on disc.
