Does anyone remember THIS (http://www.whirligig-tv.co.uk/tv/children/whirlybirds/whirlybirds.htm) classic old show? I remember being glued to the old 12in B&W every afternoon. This show more than anything else put the aviation bug under my skin.

The high point of my childhood was when my Mom took me to the Bell plant in Hurst, Tx and I got to watch them test flight new Helo's. Then we went to Leonards Dept. Store and I got to ride in a real Bell 47. That was a day to remember! :D

Yep, remember it well. Used to come on at 4pm on Saturdays I believe (Minnesota) Late 60's I believe (might have been a syndicated by then?)
Rat Patrol was another favorite.
Edit: Doh, yes, when I was watching it, it was syndicated.

OMG.. I had completely forgotten about that one. Thanks for the memory update.

Yep I remember that one. Good show and did a hell of a lot to make helicopters more acceptable to the general public. Great publicity.

. syn·di·cat·ed, syn·di·cat·ing, syn·di·cates (-kt)
v. tr.
1To organize into or manage as a syndicate.
2To sell shares in.
3To sell (a comic strip or column, for example) through a syndicate for simultaneous publication in newspapers or periodicals.
4To sell (a television series, for example) directly to independent stations.
its when they sell old tv shows and we get to see them in reruns.
