Title: RAF, LW and RA are almost ready, why you USAAF slow down the whole thing?

Taking a look into the new Med-terrain plane set is easy to realize that RAF, LW and RA are quite ready to run mid war scenarios. RAF needs only Hurricanes, Kittyhawks and a perhaps a medium bomber. LW is ready. Regia Areonautica needs the SM79 (one of the best torpedo-buff of the whole war, his torpedo was the best indeed). The most part of these problems can be solved using B26s (ehm) and Ju88s. So, with P40-Kittyhawks and Hurricanes we could run fantastic MED scenarios covering 1941-43.

A NW Europe terrain is BADLY NEEDED. 1941-43 sweeps and jabos are very interesting to recreate. As well as early deep USAAF raids into Europe. We need early P47s (short legged) and P38s, and *at the very end of 1943* even some Mustangs.

Actually, USAF-USNAF biased marketing (and late war, that is) is the stopping factor towards historical, more interesting, more balanced, more fun, more arena-suited scenarios. Same thing for Russian and PTO, two VERY interesting theatres.

Is it a troll? Not at all ... simulated late air war is boring and poor of interesting scenarios. Yanks, jump in your P40s, early P38s, Wildcats (and only God knows what) and let us ALL have fun.

Isn't it great Gatt  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) The Terrain Editor opens up endless possibilities.

One thing I was suprised to find in my research on the Med, was that the B-26 was used extensively in that theater, along with the better known B-25's.

I have seen more terrains in the works that should be out soon. One England/Germany, one England/BOB (1:1), a Papua/New Guinea Solomons, two Philiphines of differing scales, a Japan/Okinawa/Iwo Jima, a Finnish, and several others.

Now if we can just get Pyro to finish up all the planes we need to fly those terrains in.... oh say two weeks  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif), we will have a great time  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Man, these new terrains are all very exciting, breaths new life into the sim!

Now, check out 10Bears LUZON terrain in the LUZON thread, only 2.2 meg, good on FR..

Yep, we desperately need the Hurricane, Kittyhawk and even a Mustang I.  As for the B26, the ones that the RAF had were nearly all used in the Med area.
