"Despite their not playing in the championship game, the Philadelphia Eagles decided to declare themselves as 'co-superbowl champions'. Eagles management made the following statement:
"Although we were not a part of the super bowl game against the Patriots, many coaches and sports experts believe that we could have beaten the established Super Bowl champions. As such, we are declaring ourselves Super Bowl XXXVIII co-champions and expect Sports Illustrated to do a special commemorative line to celebrate. Included in this should be all the other spoils that are also due to a victory of this magnitude. I mean if USC can make such a claim, why can't we?"

Damn eagles. You stink so bad you aren't worthy of being called losers.

actually, I believe the press release went something like:
"Despite losing the Conference championship to the Carolina Panthers, the Philadelphia Eagles decided to declare themselves as 'co-superbowl losers'. Eagles management made the following statement:
"The Eagles were unfairly robbed of an opportunity to lose in Super Bowl XXXVIII by a playoff system that favored arbitrary scoring over an infallible ranking system run by a computer. Were the NFL run properly, we, not the Panthers, would have lost to the Patriots on Sunday. I mean, if Oklahoma gets to play in the championship, why can't we?"

All I know is, I was wearing my Bucs Super Bowl Champions t-shirt while watching the game. Hey, the Bucs were still defending SB champs until the clock expired.
