I received a letter...via Condor informing me of bad news. A very good friend, a former AW Wingie, member of the BOPS, and AH wingie in the Flying Circus and Old Turks.
Rick Seip...a very good friend of mine has passed away from at this time unknow causes last Thursday.
In AW when he started in RR his handle was 1Colo, then CrzyHrs.
When he came here his handle at first was CrzyHrs and recently Segue, his latest handle.
We winged together the last 7 years..I know I will miss him, and I can imagine the rough road his family is going through at this time. He has been in AH for the last four years, when he, Vati, and I came to AH and formed the flying circus in early 2000.
my good friend, may fair winds and clear skies always be with you.

Wow... Very sad to hear :(
I remember him yelling to me over vox "Balzy stunt you pulled back there WT" after i engaged 2 cons and getting em both before Crzy got there..
That was well over 2 years ago, i still remember him sayin that like it was yesterday.
=Salute!!= Sir!

That's sad to hear, I flew with him a lot in AW. I'll miss him.

It's a real shocker folks, CrzyHrs was the real deal, no pretense.
Had one of the driest, droll senses of humor I ever saw, Just a couple of weeks ago I had to reinvite him to the Old Turks and he said to me "it just told me I was a member of shamus, was afraid to ask which one"
The name Old Turks was also CrzyHrs's idea, going to miss him dearly.

he was a nice guy. :(

I don't know what to say. I'm still in shock over this news. I lost a great friend and AH lost a great guy.
Crazyhorse, 1Colo, Roadrash, Bilgepump or what ever name you took after getting all fired up over something in the game!!

The Old Turks, BOPS, and the Flying Circus are going to have a large formation led by a finger 4 in P51ds (Segue/CrzyHrs favorite ride) on Monday 9 January at 9:30PM in the MA. (EST)
The formation will be led by the finger 4 consisting of Shamus, Vati, EDO, and myself. This is huge because Vati and EDO both have left AH and are coming back to do this. I will have the honor of asking for permission to leave the formation to salute the missing man, our friend Rick (KrzyHrs/Segue/1Colo)Seip.
We might ask permission to circle the MA. Hopefully we will receive it. If not we will stay in Bishland so as not to ruin any fights ongoing in the MA at the time.
Thank You
-
Condolences to the family and friends of Segue.

I've known CrzyHrs since AW and was glad to see him again in AH. Always enjoyed our fights and bullchit sessions. He did have a wicked, wry sense of humor and I'm going to miss that.

!!! This really bites! Loved flying with him when TFC was bish. Probably the 1 guy more sarcastic than me and left me at a loss for words!
-
I, too, remember CrzyHrs from AW days. Didn't fly with him often, but seeing his handle brings back a flood o' memories of those days. His handle was one of those that popped up often , as in "CrzyHrs has killed so-and-so", or "so-an-so was killed by CrzyHrs".
Rick, and my sincere condolences to his family and close friends.
-
Sorry to hear this. My condolances.

I was devistated to hear this.Rick was always a guy to be counted on.I just got the news from Vatti.Im crying as I write this.Seems that to often we take for granted the friendships that we forge in fire in this game and take for granted that they will always be there. They wont.Rick would always be there to help out.He was a team player.he was the guy you counted on.I cant say how much his friendship ment to me from AW on.Hajo....Thanks for filling us in.You know your number 2

CH was a squaddie to the max....always there to help.....

I recieved this from one of Ricks kids.Theres a kind of warning here to all of us in a way.
Curtis,
Hello. It's good to here from you agian. Aparently my father had some
problems with blood clots developing in his legs over the years. I guess one
finally got bad enogh and burst straight into his heart. Doctors say it's
due to sitting to much, he did sit a lot at this darn computer.:-) You
couldn't pry him away from it for nothing. They did also find plack in his
arteries. On Thursday Jan 29th around after noon time my Mother had come
home to here my dad fall in the bathroom. My mom kept banging on the door
and some how, some way my dad got the strength to unlock and open the door
to her. My father had fallen and hit his head pretty bad, and was herting
and asking for a pillow. My mom ran to get him one, she layed there by his
side for about 15 minutes if that while on the phone with 911. He was
breathing pretty heavy and just couldn't fight it any longer. My mother had
to watch him take his last breath. I told my mom that even though it hurts
so bad to lose him, I'm glad he went with her by his side, and that it
wasn't some horible car accednt, and that I'm glad it was in his home. I'm
just so glad he wasn't by him self. Every time I flew out here to see my
family I always ran up the stairs to see him. He always gave me the bigest
bear hugs ever. We (Rick's children ) all had such a special bond with our
father. My father was and is a VERY SPECIAL man. I think I can speak for my
brother, and two sisters with I say that we are truly lost and feel very
empty with him gone. We really respected, appreciated, loved, honered, and
looked up to our father. Curtis I wont keep you any longer. I do want to
make sure I thank all of you guys again one last time before I hed back to
California with my kids. I wish I had a computer so that when I needed to
talk about him I could write you guys. I miss those long nights I would stay
up talking with my dad online when I did have a computer. My Uncle however
does have one so I think I just might take all your names with me. And I
have to get a lot of them too. Well, again thanks Curtis. And maybe I shall
talk with you later. I leave feb 5 2:22 flight so this will probably be my
last letter. My family will be checking it daily though. Bye Curtis it was a
pleasure.

For the whole earth is the sepulcher of famous men,
not only are they commemorated in columns and
inscriptions in their own country but in foreign
lands there dwells also an unwritten memorial of
them graven not on stone but in the hearts of men.
