Title: This board reflects the MA very well
Post by: FlyingDuckSittingSwan on December 09, 2001, 11:20:00 AM
Well, in the MA you furball, wait for a poor lone sole to wander by, then pounce on him. (cos you people are good fighter pilots)  :D

On this message board, you wait for someone with a different opinion, gang up on him/her, then pounce.

You people are SO brave. HAHAHA. What heroes!     :D

Your request for sympathy had been duly noted and will be passed up the chain of command. You may expect a response in approximately two weeks. During that time, if you continue to experience self-pity, please do not hesitate to contact your local suicide hotline.  ;)

you must go to WWII OL forums, they can't agree on anything without a fight.. even if they know they're wrong.

..and "MA" is different story..
There some allies actually think they're killing nazis.

Maybe if we stuff his next door neighbors double wide up his bellybutton he'll shut the hell up.

Sorry my friend, was referring to that other animal. Should have been more specific. TOA (the other animal) has a history of makin stupid remarks over in bigweek and then goin on a "you guys are gang bangin me" whine when folks take him to task for his ignorance.

This dude wasnt even given a chance really.

Like others he stated his opinion on something and got jumped on buy everyone for toejam talking "there game".. the only thing i saw that he has done wrong was try to defend against the flames, which is useless. that just ends in you getting hammered buy 100 different people on the BBS.. This is all gathered from his original(first) post.

Since then he has tried to "fit in" and anythying he post is met with a smart assed remark buy one of the BBS browsers who see it fit to gang up on people, those who are affraid to have there own opinions for fear that there veiws will not be excepted, and they too will not "be part of the group"

give it a break guys, ease up even we've all made post that the "norm" doesnt agree with. Stop being the coward who kicks the out numbered guy when hes down already.

hes got a valid point here.

Don't disagree in spirit, AmOn, but I also fail to see anyplace where he is trying to fit in. I think the snide comments are going both ways.

yeah amon... suckingswan is just a "victim".   Look... everyne is entitled to his opinion but the more unpopular it is the more he has to expect flack.   If he is such a wuss maybe he should shift to bellybutton kissing mode so that people don't pick on him.

It doesn't help that he knows nothing about anything but voices his opinion on everything.

Amom dont buy his lies.......

go read his 1st post and tell us how folks didn't offer him help or how many folks jumped all over him because he "dared" offer his honest and constructive criticism. He's got a persecution complex.

Actually read it...........

He didn't want help.........

And its apparent go see for yourself.....

I could be wrong, one of the many perils of voicing your opinion on somehting that you dont have 100% of the facts about, i havent read all his post. But it seems to me that anything the guys says is met with negativity. just my 2cents.. as i said i could be mistaken

His original post was initially met primarily with a positive response, including offers to help him get more comfortable with the game.

Buzz, Ra, Moose, Rocket, Apar, Furious, Wutz all were positive, I think.

Raub, Fish and Dago gave him a curt "cya" only but certainly that's no big insult.

Animal laughed at FDSS's statement about WW2OL. No personal attack there either.

The thread did go sour after a while, but it didn't start out that way.

You get one chance to make a first impression. His first post, his responses in that thread made an impression that, IMO, has been confirmed in his other posts/threads.

Yes, some guys battered him about the head and shoulders in the first thread. Pretty much has happened to every single one of us, hasn't it?

It's how you respond to that provocation that counts, isn't it?

Thanks for your support Am0n. Though deep down I sense these guys really like me. I think they're just a bit shy to admit it though.  :D

By the way, I was with Knights during my 2 weeks, and I just thought some of them were nasty (not all). So I left and joined the Rooks. Much more welcoming. Just thought I'd add that.

May I suggest a Pink Plane.... I'm sure HT could whip something up...    :D

A quote from Michael Fletcher about WarBirds but definitely applies here: "The first thing to remember about the Warbirds arena is that it is totally unscripted. Also there is absolutely no "fairness" designed into the whole procedure. In fact, most successful pilots succeed by making sure it's as unfair as possible - in their favor.  They will look for and press every advantage they have.  Altitude, numbers, superior plane type  - no edge is ever too big, and mercy is a strange word that was left out of their vocabulary at birth. They were born with a killer instinct to end all killer instincts, and it never wore off."
Fletchman's Page (http://members.home.net/mefletcher/zen.html)

<Seriously>
Do some time in the training arena WITH a trainer and realize this. A2A combat is NOT chivalrous and it is NOT fair.  In AH, most people ultimately die because of poor decisions made minutes before they engage...  Not because of the mistakes while engaged.  "Know thy plane"  The rest is gravy..

Try the link... It will help!

I did not call you names, per se, Pyemia. I just demanded you grow a pair cos I saw you were starting to go all marshmellowy by apologising (yes, it's spelt with an S!).

Seeing I got a lot of grief by people suggesting I was you, if you were half decent you'd apologise.  :o

Yes Kieran...and your point is? If it's that it's spelt with a Z in the US of A, then I know. By the way, considering you Americans speak English, why did you decide it appropriate to change the S to Z and call a pavement a sidewalk and a lift an elevator. How quirky is that!!!  :D
