How do I set an indent at 5 spaces? (ie: hit the space bar 5 times, and that's where you set the indent) I can't seem to find this info in help, and I have an anal retentive instructor who wants a paper formatted this way. Help, this is driving me insane!
Oh, and this is Office XP.

drag the little arrow in the ruler at the top in however far you want it i think.
-
Yes, the little arrow will be called the "Hanging Indent" when you have the mouse pointer over it.
That will work.
-
format / paragraph / indentation (on main tab) "special" and "by"... .3 is about 5 spaces
-
left tab works better from what i think
(damn Ct banner go away! cause me alot of lag!)
-
Yeah, that's about what I ended up doing JB73...I coulda swore there was a shortcut key combo you could use to set a tab at the location of your cursor, but oh well - this should work.

Use a Typewriter your instructor is stuck somewhere in the middle of the last century.

Take a permanent marker and place a line on your monitor screen, that way you'll always know where to line up the cursor with the space key.
