Whats the name of the song played in the movie "Iron Eagle" when the kid starts dropping bombs on the Iraqies? It reminds me of "highway to hell" in the way it starts off.
It wasn't on the soundtrack list.
Thanks

'Give Me Some Lovin' by Spencer Davis Group
Thats my guess... the only other one they didn't put in the Soundtrack was the one Twisted Sister put in.
I collect Soundtracks and I get miffed when they don't include all the music. :D
-
'One Vision' by Queen.
BTW, they weren't Iraqies. When Iron Eagle came out, the Iraqies were our friend and Saddam was our man in the Middle East.
-
Dowding, 'One Vision' is ON the soundtrack. So, you're wrong, sorry.
-
Its a Dio song, cant remember the name though.
-
I did a Limewire search for Iron Eagle songs a few weeks ago. The results were impressive. Just about every song I can remember popped up and was downloadable.
Concerning the song in question--if it's the song that Doug cues after Chappy makes a request for music as they're making their initial low level approach to target, it is indeed One Vision by Queen. The first few seconds of the song contains a lick produced by what sounds like a viola(or some other large string instrument), to which Chappy responds favorably, saying something like 'this I can handle'. The bombing run then commences.

I always thought they could be some North African country like Libya, given the reference to the Med and the friendly Egyptian trawler. Then again, Syria seems like a likely target... hey ain't that ironic and timely? lol

Sorta like Red Tape on the Underworld soundtrack? That miffed me a bit. Took a while to find it on the Jackal soundtrack. Thought it was really odd that they put it in all the trailers, but not on the sound track.
I'll pop IE in the player later and see if I can figure out what song you're talking about.

Weren't the "bad guys" Israeli planes in real life? I think one ofthe guys from the engine shop, back when I was in the Air guard, said they used the same engines as the F-4 Phantom
What kills me in Iron Eagle is every shot, the ordinance outload is different. Look! A bomb...now its not there, now it is!

The Dio song is on the soundtrack.
If you're interested, I can get you in touch *cough* give *cough* with someone who has the MP3s for the soundtrack, including those not on the soundtrack itself.

Always check IMDb's soundtrack listing. They show what songs were in the movie, whether or not they show up on the soundtrack.

Iron Eagle - one of the worst movies ever made.
Terrible, hokey, corney, a plot full of holes, things happening and people doing things that would/could never even close to happen in real life.

Iron Eagle is not as good as Iron Eagle 2 and 3. lol
The best Iron Eagle 2 line is the bit where the American pilots are in the barracks and hear the 'Russians' coming,
"It's something big, something two engined."
And a set of 'Russian' F-4 Phantoms land. :)
Actually, I think I only like Iron Eagle because I was 7 or 8 years old when it came out. At that age you can appreciate it more. Although, I always had touble with the Hades bomb thing - I mean, why did they have to go through the flames? Surely it wasn't an infinitely long wall of fire. Best line: "Attack them through the flames!"
-
The kid flying the F-16 says "I think they will be importing oil this year" or something after he bombs a refinery. Thats why I thought it was Iraq.
-
Could be a dozen Middle Eastern/North African countries going by that line.

Yea, that weblink with the soundtrack shows that a few songs didnt make it into the CD...the Twisted Sister one, the "Gimme Some Loving" come to mind
Probably the best scene in the movie was that Hammerhead with the Cessna
-
You actually watched that willingly? 3rd one was a torture supassed only by Jar-Jar
Iron Eagle though is probably Voss' favorite movie.
-
I was in 6th or 7th grade when the 3rd Iron Eagle came out on video. My favorite part was where the old zero pilot kamikazed into the cargo plane haha.
