If any of you folks haven't kept up to date on science findings etc. there is a new "Theory" thats been festering for years now and its gaining some decent credit.
I'm not qualified to give this theory an adequate summary, so if you've got 3 hours or so, you can watch this:
String Theory Explained- "Elegant Universe" (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html)
I wasn't able to sit through all three hours, So I watched it in a few parts before bed..
Enjoy

You know those old 'brain on drugs' commercials with the egga dn the frying pan?
The same damn thing happens when I try to understand string theory.
-
Saur thats cause all the drugs my friend! :aok
-
I've read the book. Good read.
I probably couldn't explain half of it now, its been 2 years.. but its an interesting theory. If anyone's really interested in it, look up Macchi (Sundiver on the board)- he's better at that stuff than me.
-
Too bad you need 10 demensions to make it work. String theory is old school, loop theory is where it's at. ;)
-
You can also read Brian Greene's book by the same name. It's excellent...
-
It should be called "tangled up fishing line theory"
-
Didn't Sam Beckett in Quantum Leap say the same thing? :D

I figured some holes in it... the simplest answers usually the right one.

Right... God created the universe.

ever hear of the Fractal Theory.....

I'll try and explain a little so you will understand....hope I can achieve this....
Small world...the study of Atoms and Particles....or what some call the infinitly small.
Big world...the study of the Universe...or infinitly big.
The SMALL and the BIG work basically the same....
forces of the Universe
ElectoMagnetism
Gravity
Nuclear Force....weak and strong
String Theory tries to establish a pattern unifying both small and big....
well I tried to explain...hope it helps just a little
