Title: Trim question
Post by: Curval on December 10, 2001, 09:10:00 AM
Based upon advice I have received I have Combat Trim turned off and use the auto-pilot functions (alt-x, etc)to keep my plane on the straight and narrow while climbing or heading towards a target.

With the combat trim off my plane (usually a zero)contantly rolls to the left, which I correct for until I activate the auto-pilot.  I have tried to manually adjust trim for this roll effect using the "L" key...but it doesn't help to level my wings....am I using the wrong button?

It isn't a big deal, but I just wanted to see what others do...

The L key is rudder trim.  To correct for torque roll, use the aileron trim (M and COMMA keys).

L trims the rudder right.
Try to use one of the aileron trims M and , instead. They should have bigger effect on the roll.
