Be sure to do the Cost of Living calculator from your current location, to the new one, to make sure you'd be earning enough money to live in SoCal.  Just as an example, for me to live in Los Angeles I would need to make 25% more in wages.

Not a problem.  Company would buy me a house.  (nice, eh?)
