1. Why were 29 pages of the 9/11committee report personally censored at your request?
2. Where are the "black boxes" from Flight 11 and Flight 175?
3. Where are the "voice recorders" from Flight 11 and Flight 175?
4. Why can't we gain access to the complete air traffic control records for Flight 11 and Flight 175?
5. Where are the airport surveillance tapes that show the passengers boarding the doomed flights?
6. When will complete passenger lists for all of the flights be released?
7. Why did your brother Jeb (the Governor of Florida) go to the offices of the Hoffman Aviation School and order that flight records and files be removed? These files were then put on a C130 government cargo plane and flown out of the country. Where were they taken and who ordered it done?
While America was under attack, for approximately the next seven (7) to eighteen (18) minutes Defendant GWB continues to listen to the goat story while Plaintiff's husband was just murdered and does not immediately assume his duties as Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces

Naw, Kappa didn't try to lead us to a conspiracy conclusion in the last thread. Naw. He's just curious.
Lawsuit is dead in the water, Kappa. 17 minutes before, 17 minutes after, her husband was still dead. Wouldn't have mattered in the least.

Ah ignorance. Just the thing I need to lighten up my day. Bad psych class.
Thanks, kappa. Your ignorant and blatent grasp at straws that don't exsist made this college student feel much better. When I graduate and recieve my dimploma, I'll look back on this day and smile.
I may even send you a cut of my paycheck. That is...unless Bush decides to bomb my university or something because it's on prime oil land and the Dean could be hiding WMD in his office...

----------I won't begin to get into Haliburton------- we'll stay with the JV team for now...
We don't see Bob Eueker or some other .200 lifetime batter owning a baseball team, so why did the Supreme Court appoint a failed businessman to run the largest business on the planet? Go figure ...
During the buildup to war, President Bush said the United States "must not ignore the threat gathering against us. Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof -- the smoking gun -- that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud.... We have every reason to assume the worst, and we have an urgent duty to prevent the worst from occurring." 1
On the eve of sending troops into battle, Bush asserted that "intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised." 2
Now David Kay, the CIA's chief weapons inspector, has testified before Congress that these weapons do not exist.
In an attempt to evade responsibility for the misleading statements that pushed the nation into war, Bush has announced plans to form an independent inquiry to look into what went wrong. An inquiry would serve the Bush administration well: it would envelop the issue in a fog of uncertainty, deflect blame onto the intelligence services, and delay any political damage until 2005, after the upcoming election. 3
But the facts need no clarification. Despite repeated warnings from the CIA and the Defense Intelligence Agency, President Bush and his administration hyped and distorted the threat that Iraq posed. 4 And now that reality is setting in, the President wants to pin the blame on someone else. We can't let him.
Congress has the power to censure the President -- to formally reprimand him for betraying the nation's trust. If ever there was a time for this, it's now. Join our call on Congress to censure President Bush at:
http://www.moveon.org/censure/
It's clear that we've been misled:
a.. David Kay said last week, "I'm personally convinced that there were not large stockpiles of newly produced weapons of mass destruction," and "We don't find the people, the documents or the physical plants that you would expect to find if the production was going on." 5 Kay said these things shortly after resigning from his post as Bush's chief weapons inspector in Iraq.
b.. Bush, in his 2003 State of the Union address, said, "the British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." 6 Yet Ambassador Joe Wilson, who was sent to Niger in February 2002 to determine whether Iraq was trying to purchase uranium materials there, concluded that "intelligence related to Iraq's nuclear weapons program was twisted to exaggerate the Iraqi threat." 7
c.. A CIA report in February 2003 said: "We do not have any direct evidence that Iraq has used the period since [1998] to reconstitute its Weapons of Mass Destruction programs." 8
It's also clear that the misleading was deliberate:
a.. The respected Carnegie Endowment for International Peace recently found that the administration "systematically misrepresented the threat" from Iraq. 9
b.. The basis for President Bush's African uranium claim was known at the time to be forged and not credible.10 "Top White House officials knew that the CIA seriously disputed the claim that Saddam Hussein was seeking uranium in Africa long before the claim was included in Bush's January address to the nation," according to the Washington Post.11
c.. Secretary of State Colin Powell became alarmed at the level of intelligence distortion. When he read the first draft of his speech to the UN -- prepared for Powell by Vice President Dick Cheney's chief of staff -- he was so upset that he lost his temper, throwing several pages in the air and declaring, "I'm not reading this. This is bullsh--."12
Our democracy only works when we know the truth. We now know President Bush and his administration deliberately misled Congress and the American people. Censure is the least we should expect in response.

Deliberately misled Congress? Will we ever know? Most likely not. All I've seen so far about all this is the Dems and Bush haters digging and digging and occasionally finding a nugget. Now the question is will they aquire enough nuggets to build a house?

7) Removed due to national security concerns. Files removed from flight school and taken to undisclosed location at request of CIA/FBI. The exact location is classified and on a need-to-know basis. And my brother Jeb ordered it just like you said at the beginning of the question smartass.

A Bush victory, that will be a first, he didn't even win the last one :lol Just wondering, who was our biggest Ally in the middle east in the 80's (hint, not Egypt)
I don't hate Bush, I hate being lied to, and having people I actually know, get blown to bits for a ***** lie.
And I AM a republican, and most of us can look the other way with Cheney and Scalia swapping spit on a camping trip and not think that this is a conflict of interest, or wonder why Bush's governor records are sealed, or why Cheney is stonewalling regarding the energy policy, and both of their ties to the CA energy crisis, and enron, and the lst goes on...
Clinton lied, and rightfully so, hepaid the price, so, where's your continued sense of justice? :) even O'Reilly, a favorite Bush lap-dancer, is coming out against him.

You misunderstood; what price did Clinton pay for his crimes? Far as I know he was disbarred, but he would never have practiced again anyway. So, now he goes around the country making thousands of dollars a stab speaking at dinners, is living on his presidential pension, and is living the life of ease. We should all suffer so badly.
-
Did Nixon not earn millions writing books and going on book signing tours? Hell, carter still makes a ton of cash going on tour, so whats the big deal?
clinton was shamed, brought disgrace to himself, personally and professionally, and I do believe he was impeached? perhaps you would like the punishment to exceed the crime?
Bottom line is, did Bush intentionally mislead the United States, or was he working with incompetent colleagues with misinformation? You decide.
here we go again, shifting the ills of the world on everyone else. Why is it so hard for people to believe that absolute power corrupts absolutely? And, Bush has been surrounded by the most powerful people for just about as long as he's been on the planet.
Anyne that owns a 1,600 acre ranch and can afford to take a MONTH off from work, can relate to most Americans?

Here ya go.
"This article is based on interviews with analysts and policymakers inside and outside the U.S. government, and access to internal documents and technical evidence not previously made public.
The new information indicates a pattern in which President Bush, Vice President Cheney and their subordinates -- in public and behind the scenes -- made allegations depicting Iraq's nuclear weapons program as more active, more certain and more imminent in its threat than the data they had would support. On occasion administration advocates withheld evidence that did not conform to their views. The White House seldom corrected misstatements or acknowledged loss of confidence in information upon which it had previously relied:
• Bush and others often alleged that President Hussein held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, but did not disclose that the known work of the scientists was largely benign. Iraq's three top gas centrifuge experts, for example, ran a copper factory, an operation to extract graphite from oil and a mechanical engineering design center at Rashidiya.
• The National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) of October 2002 cited new construction at facilities once associated with Iraq's nuclear program, but analysts had no reliable information at the time about what was happening under the roofs. By February, a month before the war, U.S. government specialists on the ground in Iraq had seen for themselves that there were no forbidden activities at the sites.
• Gas centrifuge experts consulted by the U.S. government said repeatedly for more than a year that the aluminum tubes were not suitable or intended for uranium enrichment. By December 2002, the experts said new evidence had further undermined the government's assertion. The Bush administration portrayed the scientists as a minority and emphasized that the experts did not describe the centrifuge theory as impossible.
• In the weeks and months following Joe's Vienna briefing, Secretary of State Colin L. Powell and others continued to describe the use of such tubes for rockets as an implausible hypothesis, even after U.S. analysts collected and photographed in Iraq a virtually identical tube marked with the logo of the Medusa's Italian manufacturer and the words, in English, "81mm rocket."
• The escalation of nuclear rhetoric a year ago, including the introduction of the term "mushroom cloud" into the debate, coincided with the formation of a White House Iraq Group, or WHIG, a task force assigned to "educate the public" about the threat from Hussein, as a participant put it.
Two senior policymakers, who supported the war, said in unauthorized interviews that the administration greatly overstated Iraq's near-term nuclear potential."
From the Washington Post. Forgive the lack of linkage, it appears that they have taken the article down.

clinton was shamed, brought disgrace to himself, personally and professionally, and I do believe he was impeached? perhaps you would like the punishment to exceed the crime?
Bottom line is, did Bush intentionally mislead the United States, or was he working with incompetent colleagues with misinformation? You decide.
here we go again, shifting the ills of the world on everyone else. Why is it so hard for people to believe that absolute power corrupts absolutely? And, Bush has been surrounded by the most powerful people for just about as long as he's been on the planet.
Anyne that owns a 1,600 acre ranch and can afford to take a MONTH off from work, can relate to most Americans?
Dude, you said Clinton paid for his crimes. He didn't. When he was impeached he literally took a victory lap around the White House. That's how much he was shamed by it all. No need to bring Nixon into it, that guy DID pay the price- he lost his presidency, and his name will forever be spoken with scorn. If I recall correctly, Clinton served every last day of his presidency, and even capped it all off with some very questionable pardons of criminals with connections to his re-election campaign (can you say "Marc Rich"). Some still lift Clinton as a hero, despite the fact he was the person responsible for his whole fiasco. People are literally pissed he was prosecuted for breaking the law at the expense of the taxpayers, as if the right thing to do was to let him break whatever laws he wished.
No. Clinton got away scot-free.
Now if the case can be made Bush broke laws (and not the farsical UN laws, which I applaud the US for breaking), heck yeah, to the full extent of the law. That hasn't happened yet. Going after Bush because he didn't jump up fast enough from the appearance he was making? LOL!
And be very careful about the "Not trusting the rich" comments... you realize Kerry is probably richer than Bush, right? Who you gonna take for president in THAT case, huh?
-
OK, so I was wrong. I'm human...I make mistakes. :D:D:D
At any rate, who's to say that there are WMD and their buried in that sandbox out there? There was a story a while ago during the frist Iraq war where US troops discovered a fully intact MiG-21 wrapped in plastic buried under the sand. All it needed was gas and it could go.
But, I could be wrong again...never mind I'm just going to stay out of it. :)

What the hell are you talking about? What prize did Clinton pay?
Price right?
OHHHH COME ON.......WHAT PRICE?????
DUDE WOULD YOU DO THAT??????????
I DONT CARE HOW MANY BEERS!!!!!!!!!!
:lol

Are you guys still going on about the lewinsky "scandal"?
The money spent in the investigations could been better used - in fact there'd be a great moment to investigate Bush's actions and would be far better spent money than investigate whether the president was having fun with someone else than his wife!
Few years back the goverment didn't even want such things to come public, let alone waste efforts to investigate it...
Ie. Kennedy
Now theres been several real cases to investigate, something which would be important to be looked into and yet it's not been done... come on!

Philandering politicians?!!! My god. Sweet child of mine. Whatever next!
They are as old as hills, but the morally superior attitude to it all is quite new. Frankly, it comes down to this; no-one has ever died from a blowjob. I'm struggling to think of any wars started by acts of fellatio. And those who are so morally outraged over a lie should consider this: how many degrees of separation are there between a lie about an extra-marital affair and a lie about chemical, biological and nuclear weapons as a cause for war?

For some reason you seem completely unable to understand the concept of intent.

SLO,
In response to your questions about the flight data recorders. NO ONE is 100% sure that they survived. Being a Flight Safety Officer having attended many classes on accident investigation I can tell you this....those data recorders are NOT indestructible. They are strong buddy but not indestructible.
And SLO my dear friend living north of me.....National Security issues are not decide by one man. They are used to protect many things in fact many of those things have NOTHING to do with the US Military. They can deal with political, economic, and military issues.
I think what this boils down to is whether you trust in the leadership of your nation. In my opinion I do. I dont think there was a conspiracy surrounding 9/11. I personally trust that for reasons of National Security those items listed were not given out.
There are things that the average citizen of ANY nation just shouldnt know. Bottom line. Whether it deals with national security, military, econonmic, or political matters....you and I just dont have a reason or need to know these things. That is why in our democratic societies we elect people to run our nations. Personally I dont want to know everything that goes on with the inner workings of govt. I know how the US system works but I dont need to know all the nitty gritty details....If I did I may say something to someone in passing that could harm our friends, neighbors and allies.
Just my 2 cents but thats my opinion on things.

NEWSFLASH: INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES NEEDS TO KEEP SECRETS.
9-11 was one of the most devastating intelligence faliurs yet. For some reason (ie. cutbacks during Clinton) the armed forces and the intelligence agencies failed to prevent a horrible attack on US soil. There are many reasons for this. Some that can be made public and some that cannot be made public. An example of a source that cannot be made public would be
"Why did our phone tap on OBL fail to pick up this key conversation on 5-14 2001?" or
"Why did our human intel in Pakistan fail to report this meeting between Atta and OBL on 11-11 2000?"
4- who decides its NS....no need....probably sayin ALLAH is God and mohammed is his messenger.....why the NS concern....they are NOT giving away military secrets my little pumkin.
5- again who decides its NS...we wanna see them so called people your PREZ says where guilty of Terrorism....you got pictures of them....show em....again WHY the NS...no need....no Military or Govr. secret involved
[/b]
You need to upgrade your knowledge on how intelligence and counterintelligence agencies work. You also need to upgrade your knowledge on why these agencies need to keep secrets from everybody. I know this can be hard and frustrating, and I know you want to know everything. But the problem is that if we force the intelligence agencies to tell us everything they know about everything, then the bad guys will know it too.
And that is bad.
If you want to see pictures of the hijackers, they were made public around 9/14-01 or something like that. At least they were in Sweden. We had huge newspaper articles with mugshots of all the 19 hijackers.
6- you mean when the head mochissmo TELLS them to make it public
[/b]
No, I mean when they decide that information can be made public without hurting current intel operations.
7- whats the need of such secrecy...they already told us the names...we just wanna know IF they are true.....they learned to fly there....no Govr. or Military secrets involved....so no need for NS
[/b]
You really dont know **** about intel and counterintel do you? Whats the need for secrecy? Suppose there are documents from that flight school that shows that 3 weeks after Atta and his crew graduated, a new batch of arab pilot students went to the same school. Suppose these characters also got enough education to fly a large jet. Suppose we have their names. Suppose we are looking for these guys. Is it good or bad to tell them and the rest of the world that "hey, we know you exist and we are looking for you right now" just so some handsomehunk liberals like yourself can put some lame-ass home-made conspiracy theory to rest?
sounds like someone uses NS to his advantage....
NS concerns are there for a reason. A reason you seem utterly unable to grasp.

What a dolt. Bush extended ALL sealed presidential records for 12 years.......HE DID THIS FOR CLINTON AS WELL....YOU KNOW BILL CLINTON. What makes you sooooo special that you need to know this?
-
Man I get so sick of all the Clinton bashing, wish you guys would actually look into what really was happening in the background in the lead up to the impeachment. Conservatives wanted to get rid of Clinton any means necessary so they bring up these old Paula Jones allegations. Jones vs Clinton goes to court but the court threw it out on merit.. That means the judge threw it out because there wasn’t even enough evidence to bring minimal charges. We all thought that was that but the Conservatives, undeterred, had folks like Ken Starr write friends of the court briefs to the Supreme court arguing that a sitting President can be sued by a private party. BTW that was a “Bill of Attainder” which is unconstantutal. You can’t make a law against one person. Meanwhile Linda Tripp was secretly taping private conversations with a young intern which indeed the President was having an affair with.
25 minutes into the Paula Jones testimony, was the first question regarding the Paula Jones case. The President was broadsided with questions about Miss Lewinsky. Keep in mind this testimony occurred 3 days after over 60 FBI agents interviewed Miss Lewinsky for over 8 hours at a shopping mall in Virginia. Yes the President lied, he lied to protect the dignity and honor of his wife and family. Another good reason: A Southern gentleman will rarely if ever answer questions on matters sexual. In fact anyone with the lowclass crass trimity to ask such questions would be met with a broken nose some cracked ribs. You southern guys know this to be true don’t try and spin it, the culture down South it’s the guy screaming mistress that’s the scumbag.
Clinton lied that’s true but he asked for forgiveness for his vernal sin. Many millions of real American Christians granted him that.
Moral failings? The former president’s weaknesses aside, lets look at President Clintons policies. Putting 100,000 cops on the street lowered the crime rate to the lowest point in thirty years. That was the right thing to do. Better sex education lowered the rate of STD and abortion to the lowest rate in a generation. Best economy in the history of the world. More new home buyers since world war two. The income tax credit allowed many millions of lower income American’s to get extra tutoring and health care for their kids. Balancing the budget for the first time since 1969, and -- believe it or not-- we were actually on the road to paying down the national debt.
To me, this is where the tires meet the road on what the meaning of “morals” are. Pitching for the American people. Doing right by them. I suppose it depends on what your definition of morals are.
Like I said above, Bill Clinton lied in a court of law, but he asked for forgiveness. As a Christian I felt obliged to give it to him. What’s your excuse?
Don’t start with the “Rule of Law” line, otherwise we will have a discussion on the current administration’s views of rules of law. For example, Condi Rice is most happy to testify in front of the Senate committee investigating 911 intelligent failures -- as long as she doesn’t have to do it under oath... Heh. What’s that about?.. Does the girl not know any time you testify in front of the Senate your under oath? Apparently not, like she didn’t know people would try and crash airplanes into buildings even though it had been discussed for the last ten years.

See, there's the prob. While I don't like what happened, I am not 100% sure Bush lied. You appear to be, and without evidence. Kaye even suggested in his report everyone straight down the line thought Iraq had WMD- so if Bush thought so and was a liar, doesn't that make every single person who believed Iraq had WMD a liar? Wanna go back and play quotes from the past?

Steve, I’ve got to ask, are you all secretly members of the Unification Church?.. I mean you have to get this stuff from the Washington Times of the Limbaugh letter which is it?
NEWSFLASH: INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES NEEDS TO KEEP SECRETS.
9-11 was one of the most devastating intelligence faliurs yet. For some reason (ie. cutbacks during Clinton) the armed forces and the intelligence agencies failed to prevent a horrible attack on US soil. There are many reasons for this. "Why did our human intel in Pakistan fail to report this meeting between Atta and OBL on 11-11 2000?"
You guys always try to blur blur everything what’s your agenda?.. Please lets have a little context here. Shortly after Gulf war1 it was the defense department that requested a scaling back of the military. They were looking for a leaner meaner fighting machine. Gone are the super expensive heavy tanks and mobile artillery. In are Blackhawk and apache helicopters and highly trained Rangers that can rope in and win any battle within 15 minutes. Also a new emphasis on air power and cruise missiles. This policy was carried over to the new Clinton administration with the new Defense secretary William Cohen agreeing with this policy and with new base closings.
It should be noted that during our engagement with F.R.Y., NOT ONE not one American life was lost.......
With your comment (and other criticisms I’ve heard regarding Clinton dismissing intelligence assets) I should point out a conspiracy, not a theory, an actual conspiracy, that happened back in the ‘80s. Seems these less than squared away individuals “contracted” with the CIA to fly arm shipments down to Reagan’s contra war in central America. They had only one cravat, they didn’t want to deadhead back.. In 1987 the price of cocaine went from $100 a gram to $35 overnight. The DEA and CIA looked the other way when these planes flew back in filled to the rafters with friggin’ coke!.
What did this cost the American tax payer? Tens of billions for drug treatment and incarceration, thousands of lives lost during the cocaine wars of the late ‘80s and early 90s. Why is this not a theory? Because the CIA has quietly admitted to it.
You might recognize the names of some other less than squared away folk.. Manual Norigia for one.. He was president of Panama for Christ sake, did contract work for the CIA. Another charming fellow goes by the name of Saddam Hussane.. Oh yeah.. I almost forgot, that tall raghead that lives in a cave ol’ what’s his name.
Naw, Clinton was right to get rid of these types, bad karma. You can get the same intelligence using agencies from other countries.
Curiously, this is the same argument used in the run-up to war with Iraq when we were trying to find out what solid evidence they had that Saddam possessed WMD.
If you want to see pictures of the hijackers, they were made public around 9/14-01 or something like that. At least they were in Sweden. We had huge newspaper articles with mugshots of all the 19 hijackers.
Kudos for them tracking down the terrorists so fast. You have any speculation as to why the FBI. stood down the investigation of Mohammad Atta and his crew?

Nakhui, Kappa has a strong point. I have a slightly different take on it though I am starting to believe a “possibility” of a passive wheel and spoke conspiracy may have taken place. I have quite a bit to say about that but don’t feel like writing about it now. However you can start your research by reading Rick Skusland’s new book “The Price of Loyalty” Do a google search on Chaney’s energy task force he’s trying so hard to keep buttoned down.. Seems they pulled out a chart of Iraq with lines all over diviting up the booty. And another thing... I can’t dismiss it, it keep popping up in my mind, on page 76 of the Project of the New American Century, one of the most shocking, chilling, goose pimple inducing sentences I have ever read.
“What we need is some type of Pearl Harbor event”
If you read the full report it dovetails nicely with what Ripsnort was saying about this being a brilliant strategy but enough of that for now, I’ve got another conspiracy theory that, not as big might be equally important.
There’s something wrong with the John Kerry nomination. I’m a regular reader of Democratic Underground and the consensus over there for months has been a Dean/Clark front runner ship. No one can find anyone who voted for Kerry in the primaries. So my question is A) Is Kerry the candidate the Republicans always wanted to run against Bush? and B) Are we doing a test run on the Diebold voting machines?
What struck me as odd was the Kerry bimbo eruption one day after Clark dropped out. Another thing that seems out of place is Dean’s decision to remain in the race after announcing he would drop out if he didn’t win Wisconsin.
One thing we can be sure about, if Bush get re-elected, you, me and other progressive thinking people might find ourselves behind barbed wire... much to the delight of Eagler and Steve Hortland...

Oh. My. Frickin'. Gosh.
And you get to drive and vote. Really, this is just plain scary people buy into this kind of drivel.
Dean was the Republican wet dream. The only problem was he imploded months too soon. Bush would have spanked him. Kerry has a chance if he figures out when to shut up about his military record, and keeps pounding on intelligence. With union backing, and a good selection for VP, he is VERY electable. Dean was a dead-end from the start.

An ideal world would have kids abstaining from sex until they were old enough to deal with the consequences as adults. Or is that too obvious?

OK and for the record, how many of you (voluntarily) waited until you were old enough to deal with the consequences? classic case of "I did it when I was your age, but you can't, because it is wrong," philosophy is exactly why we have so many teen parents. Hell, I'm in my 30's and maybe I'm still not old enough to deal with a family, but I'll be damned if I dont get my freak on every now and then LOL

Alright last reply here then I got to go.
First of all it’s good to see you back here Kieran, I missed our fights. You missed our knock down drag out fights here on the run up to war.. I was screaming my head off.. Thought everyone here had fallen into some type of mass psychosis.
On the issue of oral sex.. I agree with you and disagree and here’s why. On one level, as a father of a 19 yr old girl, I have a certain conservative bias concerning all things sexual which is inherent of all fathers of girls. On the other hand you as an educator, (your still teaching I hope) have to consider the lesser of two evils. Is giving the boy a hand job or bj preferable to penetration? I mean, I would think you’d say that’s a no brainer. What’s the cost to society to have all these fatherless children, the spread of STD in the teenage community?
If what you say is correct, that oral sex is on the rise, but than STD and unwanted pregnancies are on the decline, well, I think we can live with that, the world won’t go the heck in a handbasket. Would you prefer teens waited until marriage? Well of course. Is that a realistic goal?.. Now c’mon Kieran, we got to pick and choose our battles here.. picking a fight with raging teen hormones is a fight your gonna lose my brother ;)
This notion that Bill Clinton popularized oral sex is amusing. I’d say this form of sexual contact has been around alot longer than you or I or Bill Clinton. The real culprit here seems to be Hollywood culture that dictates at least one sexual liaison between unmarried people per film. The apex for me would be Alian3 when Ripley says to the guy “I neeeeed some, I haven’t had any for 75 years”
LOL
BTW you and I are in full agreement that CBS needs to have their license pulled for about 5 weeks. Not so much for the boobs, for lying about it.

If a child is old enough to formulate the question, then they deserve an answer.
I'd rather parents take responsibility and answer that question than leave to kids in the school yard, hollywood movies, magazines, or school teachers.
It's time that American parents grow up and not be ashamed of talking about sex and start educating their children about it.

Okay, Okay last post then time for Aces..
Kieran I kind of wanted to dance around with you before we SLAM into each other and rip each other’s throats out.
The theory about the Kerry nomination is mine alone. I did not find this suggestion anywhere on the net. I DO know the allegations of adultery are TRUE, in fact there are more than one. Our political party can ill afford having to support an adultor again, You have no idea how hard it was to defend the policies of one of the smartest men in our lifetime only to have him blow it--
to throw it all away.
Kieran I would prefer you didn’t make light of my lack of higher education. When you were being packed off to collage, I got to work for $3.00 an hour as a ranch hand. Did that for five years, later, hooked up with plumbers and did that for almost 20 years intermixed with electrician and carpentry gigs. The electrician stuff learned me what I do now which has everything to do with high voltage electricity. If you detect at least a little bit of average intelligence or independent thought, that would be thanks to the Jesuits at Catholic school whom at least taught me how to spell and to think critically.
If we meet in person you and I would have more in common than you would care to admit.

A reasonable response, so I tender my apology for the earlier response. It was a knee-jerk response to our prior contacts.
Clinton didn't polarize BJs any more than Bush polarized cocaine abuse. But in both cases, regardless of cause, there are severe consequences. AIDS is on the rise, not the decline, in America, as are most STDs. Teen pregnancy is as well. I have two daughters, and I don't like the idea of them giving goodnight hummers to their boyfriends when they start dating. I can't honestly believe any father would.
Munkii said "In a perfect world"... then said in that world kids would use condoms. Condoms are not 100% foolproof at preventing pregnancy OR STDs. In a perfect world the kids would wait until they are not kids to have sex. May not be totally realistic, but you know what? Sometimes the fight is about where you make your stand. Do you give up and concede you have no control, or do you go down swinging? They're my kids, and I plan on fighting to the bitter end. I might even lose, but it won't be because I gave up before the fight was engaged.
I empathize with your working class background, because I come from similar digs. I've had a job since I was 14-years-old. My mother raised her orphaned siblings (four of them) while raising six of her own. My step-father worked in the factory, but that was one job for 12 people. I wasn't "packed off to college", I worked three jobs at a time to put myself through, the rest I borrowed (student loan, which I paid back in full). I am not rich by any means even now, though I am quite happy.

Okay, I said in an Ideal world, not perfect. I realize that's pretty similar, but I meant it different. I meant ideal as in, achievable. With proper education and more cultural awareness to condoms, they could become more mainstream. If girls parents took them seriously and actually took them to a gynocologist at an earlier age, or just introducing the concept of visiting one earlier more could be done. I'm not going to try and trick myself into thinking that abstinance is going to ever been mainstream, or even if it ever was. Human nature is just like any other animal, to reproduce to keep the species from dying out. Sex is natural, educating the masses at a younger age could improve awareness, lower STD transmission rates, and lower pregnancy rates.

At what age are you going to start encouraging them to use condoms, hmm? What have you told YOUR daughters?
You have to understand, I don't say this stuff without a little background. I get to see all those girls walking around pregnant to class, or who can't make class on time because their 3-year-old in daycare is sick. We've been teaching sex ed for years, everything you're discussing, and the problem isn't getting better, it's worse.

It's getting old to see Bush taliban and Clinton Taliban fighting ...
Both having no other ressort than bashing each other eeeekkk it's boring ...

When they express their interest in dating. Heck leave a packet on their dresser.
Better to be safe and immoral - than Pregnant or worse DEAD and BURIED.

You guys absolutely blow me away with these responses, and I am certain you are not handing your daughters condoms as they walk out the door with their boyfriends. Who's kidding whom?

You're kidding your self that you think everyone in the world is as sexually repressed and ignorant as the "American" nuclear familly.

Any parent who thinks their daughter will not have sex is kidding themselves...

Any parent that hands his/her daughter a pack of condoms as she walks out the door is an idiot.
I never said I believed kids wouldn't have sex, FWIW. I am totally against encouraging them to do so in any way.

Nakhui: Better to be safe and immoral - than Pregnant or worse DEAD and BURIED.
Seems pretty simplistic and logical..
texace: Any parent who thinks their daughter will not have sex is kidding themselves...
Seems very realistic..

Why?
Because they care enough about their children that they want them to be safe... and if their children are going to choose to have sex no matter what the desires of the parent,
then perhaps the parent realizes, well at least let it be SAFE SEX so they don't get harmed.
I think any parent who chooses to keep their children repressed and ignorant is an idiot - because it is the parent who is in denial and out of touch with what's really going on in their children's life.

And, on that note regarding records, why are Bush's governor's records sealed, and why the hush-hush over Cheney's energy policy contributors. Threat to National Security? More like threat to JOB Security...:rofl
what are you so afriad of....losing power for another four years?

Have you given your daughter condoms before her date? Simple yes or no. You honestly speak as a person with no children.
