I'm not trying to get anyone to sign this letter, I just think it brings up some good points in a concise format.
Open Letter To John Kerry (http://www.petitiononline.com/ltr2krry/petition.html)

Signed it.

Trust me, this thread will not get much response from liberals nor any relevant answers from them either....they'll just start another national guard thread about Bush.
Liberals are for the most part, at least those I read here, dishonest.
-
Drudge is saying tha Kerry has a skirt-chasing issue he's gonna have to face. It's going to be interesting to see how his rich wife will react.
-
Jesus doesn't love liberals??
-
What is a winter soldier?
Any of that stuff in there true?

"Trust me, this thread will not get much response from liberals nor any relevant answers from them either....they'll just start another national guard thread about Bush. "
Probably.
I imagine much in the same way any discussion of the Iraqi invasion brings instant replies of how the US/UK were doing thier just, righteous & moral duty because of all those WMD, to rid the world of terrorism and (later) to free a repressed people from a human riights trampling dictator that bad-bad man Hussein...

Well....at least we attempt to address issues:)

That's a fairly broad brush you're painting with...

YES most of this stuff is very accurate. Do a google search on winter soldier investigation. Lots of public records and communitst flags

I'd trust a conservative in the white house more than a democrat, even though both are crooked politicians, one is less crooked.

Yes, while Sen. John McCain and others were rotting in the Hanoi Hilton, Kerry was supporting the treasonous Jane Fonda's efforts. Wonder how McCain feels about that?
-
A pretty good letter overall, but on a couple of points....the second paragraph talks about Kerry statements about dragging the war into the politics--you might want to look here
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1071592/posts
for the complete text--your letter uses phrases together and without context....and the third paragraph, well, the Winter Soldier investigation was not Jane Fonda's. And if you read the text of the Winter Soldier Investigation here
http://lists.village.virginia.edu/sixties/HTML_docs/Resources/Primary/Winter_Soldier/WS_entry.html
...and you will find that Kerry was describing what other soldiers were saying--he was not accusing.
The fourth paragraph wasn't bad, except are you sure you want to bring up the Collier International thing? Kerry may have done his cousin a favor, but Cheney OWNS Haliburton, his stock in a trust fund to the contrary, with hundreds of millions of dollars in sole source contract awards this year.
Fifth paragraph was OK, too, but again the rebuttal will be Bush: more vacation days in his term of office than any President EVER. And, you really don't want them scrutinizing his Governor of Texas time either....
And as to the sixth paragraph--good point--it'll be interesting to see how he wriggles out of it.....
I mean, if you're going to hammer the guy, at least get it right.

If Americans are still so sensitive to the attrocities they commited in Vietnam and they won't take the word of the men who served there, I dont know whos word they will take.
President Bush asked for permision to take military action under the guise of putting teeth behind his diplomacy. By keeping the raw intelligence under wraps, lieing about terrorist links to Iraq and exagurating WMD evidence to congress he got the votes he needed.
What that says bad about Kerry only a conservative can see I guess. All it proves to me is he has first hand knowledge of the dishonesty and caulousness of President Bush.
Aledging that Kerry pushed for the normalization of the punative relations with Vietnam so that someone in his state could win a contract with them, even if true, pales beside the president borrowing 100s of billions of dollars to pay to the Vice presidents "old" company to rape the natural resources of Iraq for the benefit of the Presidents oil company buddies.
Over 500 young americans have died and 100s of others have been maimed for Haliburtons contracts. How many died for Kerrys supposed contract.

Paaleeeze!
The letter is well written, and one sided. what's to comment on?

Can you show proof that Bush lied? The Kaye report doesn't seem to back that assertion/aspersion up.
-
OK, I'll comment on the 1st sentence.
Thus far, your presidential campaign has been focused solely on attacking President Bush and touting your Vietnam War record from over thirty years ago.
Kerry has proposed creating jobs through a new manufacturing jobs credit, by investing in new energy industries, restoring technology, and stopping layoffs in education.
Well ... sentence #1 is a lie.

I noticed that you say "Aledging" and "supposed" when referring to Kerry, but speak about the issue with Haliburton as if it was an established fact. Your bias is showing. Are you on Jerry's payroll? Kerry's "situation" is actually more verifiable that your wild accusation against the George W. Bush.
The "President" borrowed hundreds of billions of dollars? Are you sure it was hundreds of billions? Are you even sure the President "borrowed" that money? From whom did he borrow it? What interest rate did he get? Do you have the evidence to support that he borrowed that money? How about evidence to support he paid the "vice presidents old company" to rape the natural resources of Iraq? Is hundreds of billions to going rate for raping resources? And Haliburton was Cheney's old company? So, if a man/woman works for a company and at some point (even after that person no longer works for that company), the company is accused of wrong doing, then the former employee (no matter what their position) is guilty by (former) association? Wow...new law being written right here on the Aces High Forum! Alert the world court.
Isn't it fun to make wild accusations with absolutely no proof? Isn't it just a blast to come on here and through around whatever they latest party line is from your leftist friends...regurgitating whatever they fed you because you haven't the sense to level a reasonable accusation against the President of the United States of America? It must be, because you seem to really enjoy it.
You know, there is such a thing as slander. Slander, since you obviously don't know, it making statements against someone character and integrity without any evidence to support it. It usually originates with people of low self-esteem that are jealous of another person or another persons situation. Are you jealous of the President? Do you want to borrow hundreds of billions so you can rape the natural resources of Iraq? Or, do you just like to go around making slanderous statements? I really would like to know...well, not really.
Oh, for the record...you are right. Over 500 hundred young "Americans" have died. They died doing what the rest of the world lacked the nerve to do. And why? So that no-account, socialist, anti-American leftists could sit in their comfy little homes and type nasty little messages making the wildest unsubstantiated accusations against the President without fear of some terrorist blowing there house/work/car/family/whatever up. Not for oil profitteering or whatever your sick, twisted little imagination can come up with to spew out.
Sheesh...will people ever get a clue?!?!?!

He was 1st to break the Lewinski scandal; but he's also put out a lot of false stories, like Clinton having a love-child with a black woman.

Wonderful tirad!
All you missed was adding , ""I can no longer sit back and allow Communist infiltration , Communist indoctrination, Communist subversion, and the international Communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids... "

What I find amusing is that even articles that Drudge links to about the Kerry "scandal" from his website admit that they have little or no evidence to support such a claim. I know that yesterday he linked to a British newspaper article (the Telegraph?) where they basically admitted that they could not corroborate anything Drudge had posted the day before and had received denials from all of the major media outlets about their pursuing the story. And today, he links to an article in The Sun which, in fine journalistic fashion, states the following:
"There is no evidence the pair had an affair, but her father Terry, 56, said: 'I think he’s a sleazeball. I did kind of wonder if my daughter didn’t get that kind of feeling herself.'"
Well, I'm convinced! Drudge also reported that former candidate Wesley Clark stated off the record that, "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." (link (http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/9955.html) here to summarize). And yet Clark just recently threw his support behind Kerry, indicating either his insanity or utter stupidity in the face of such an obvious candidate-killing scandal.
The allegations against Kerry may or may not be true. However, I see very, very little evidence from Drudge at this time to substantiate them and plenty of circumstantial evidence to the contrary. Time will tell, I suppose.

More divisive prattle from foolish supporters of a corrupt administration now desperate to win at all costs...stooping to the un-American practice of bashing a war hero.
Sad...truely sad.
It is soooo much fun to use Boosh speak against Booshy-boys. :rofl

It’s a little early still -- everyone’s just warming up. Give it a couple of months and the real fun starts.

Not being too Bush happy myself, you must realize Kerry is casting a fair amount of mud himself, right? Do you honestly feel Kerry is going to be even incrementally better than Bush in terms of so-called "corruption"? Highly doubt it.
Look at where they stand on core issues and leave it at that. They're both poor choices, but you have to look past that and toward what they are likely to do.
-
The letter brings up good points. I signed it.
BTW Rude.... I'm as "liberal" as they come on most issues... and I'd consider myself to be an honest person.

I'm leaning towards the one that isn't a pawn to the neo-cons and continue the concept of pre-emptive war to create a new American century of world hegemony. My grandfather faught a war 60 years ago to end nationalist facism...no reason to see it start up again here in the USA.
-
They're both pawns if you want to take that tac. Seriously. Bush to his friends, Kerry to his blind ambition.

One is not a pawn to the neo-cons...and those are the guys I want out of Washington.

I just want to get this over with so I can stop doing these damn political science papers...
