hehe....

Lets see.....

$1,000,050.00 for a bunch or F-18 parts....or $9,000,000.00 to it ready to roll....

I can see this one....

Honey I bought little tommie that F-18 he's been wanting....but you'll need to make some time to assemble it so we can put it under the tree:):)

So for $7,950,000.00 you can get some body to do it for you...how many hours DOES it take to assemble an F-18:)

I think that is saying the F-18 is soon to be replaced by a new fighter, or else the government would not have allowed it to get into the public. Heres my guess on the next naval aircraft
(http://www.militaryfactory.com/imgs/aircraft/joint_strike_fighter.jpg)  F-35b with VTOL capabilities

Well, That's true that F-35 JSF will enter the Naval and include the US Marines.  I dont recall that F-35 JSF will not take F-18 place, because I have read Leatherneck Magazine of the Marines and F-18 probably will stay until 2020(dunno if that true or not).  Beside F-14 Tomacat will retired sooner like this year or next year.

I read it would be 2008.

Well, I just found out couple month ago that Navy Squadron VF-101(dont remember) "Jolly Rogers" will not use F-14 and they said they would use F-18.  I found it someone one the website and i guess military.com?
