1946
1957
1963
1968
1974
1985
1991
1996
2002
2013

only years (going back to 1939 start of WWII) that have septembers that start on a sunday.

the 18th could be any old 18th but im thinking it has something to do with a distinct year mentioned above.

too lazy to google each day.

I think Sep 18th is either Self-Aggrandizement Day or Nate's birthday.  Maybe both.    :D

September 18, 1941: President Roosevelt requests an additional $5,985,000,000 for Lend-Lease Aid to Britain from Congress.

September 18, 1942: In the Solomon Islands... On Guadalcanal, six transports arrive bringing supplies and the US 7th Marine Regiment. The American base now has 23,000 men and adequate supplies.

In New Guinea... Japanese General Horii, in response to orders and supply difficulties begins to pull back some of his forces around Buna and Gona.

On Madagascar... The British land troops on the east coast of the French governed island at Tamatave.

September 18, 1943: On the Solomon Islands... Fighting continues on Arundel. New Zealand General Barrowclough takes command of Allied forces on Vella Lavella.

In the Mediterranean... In the Aegean Sea, British forces occupy the islands of Simi, Stampalia and Icaria. German aircraft attack the Antimachia airfield on the British occupied island of Cos.

On the Eastern Front... Soviet forces capture Priluki, Lubny and Romodan in their advance toward Kiev. Farther south, Soviet forces take Pavlograd, Krasnograd, Pologi and Nogaysk in advances.

In Occupied Greece... At Cephalonia, the Italian "Acqui" Division resists German forces seeking to disarm it.

Over the Gilbert Islands... American planes from the carriers Lexington, Princeton and Belleau Wood attack the island of Tarawa. Admiral Pownall commands the carrier force.

September 18, 1944: In Occupied Poland... American B-17 bombers drop 1284 containers of supplies to the embattled Polish Home Army (AK) in Warsaw. Only 228 fall on territory still controlled by the Poles. This is the only major supply drop, by the western Allies, allowed by the Soviets. The US planes land on Soviet territory after completing their mission.

On the Western Front... Operation Market Garden continues. The British 30th Corps reaches the troops of the US 101st Airborne Division at Eindhoven and Veghel. There is increasing resistance from German forces. To the north, the US 82nd and British 1st Airborne Divisions continue to resist.

In Occupied Denmark... A general strike continues in protest of recent deportations by German authorities.

In the Palau Islands... On Peleliu, American marines attempt to expand their attacks on Mount Umurgrobol. Japanese forces repulse the marines with heavy losses. On Angaur, US forces advance toward the center of the island. Japanese forces harass the movement

I bolded what i believe is the reason that date is marked specifically.

I would still go with Nate's birthday or Self-Aggrandizement Day.
