Title: 10MM DEM files? anyone have or knwo where?

be interested in getting some 10mm dem files. the usgs ones are 30mm.

comparing actual land mass elevation charts and the dem files show that in some regions of the world the usgs files are very basic and leave out much detail.

looking for 10mm dem files of pacific islands and countries

I would assume you mean 10 arc second. Current GTOP030 files are 30 arc seconds which equates to about a 1 kilometer grid.

So what you want are geographic files with a 10 meter grid. I know the USGS has them available for the US. But I think only the military has them for the world.

You can try this and see if you can adapt them...

Also, there are the kind of files you want available for all of the Hawaiian islands from the USGS.
