Nice work, Cit.
I look forward to flying F4U and F6F off the various carrier groups.
Tasmania - wasn't that going to be Lazsmania? I think it's a trick question, because it's not on this map. If it were on this map, it's location would be around 17,-5. :)

tasmania is on the map
remember geographic locations of actual islands and countries has been rearanged.
tasmani now lies on the southeast edge of new guinea. after a massive earthquake which split the area between new guinea and australia into a 300 mile wide gap with lots of tiny volcanic islands. this catestraphic tectonic shift has left the pacific as we know it in disarray. in the chaos the bish rooks and knits began to argue over the ownership of the islands formerly in their territory but now displaced. the disagreement has become an international incident and the battle for middle Oz has begun.

Oh! OK then...
Sectors 11,14; 11,15; 12,14; 12,15.
In the tectonic shift that occurred, did the shapes and sizes of any land masses become altered, or just their locations?

Tassie is a little large , must have gained some land in the earth/shift.
Great looking map fester :)

P.S. "map of tassie" is sometimes used as a slang (crude) reference to womenfolk down here - as in "wouldn't mind seeing her map of tassie"or "show us your map of tassie"
only by the uncouth of course

Beautifl map, Citabria. I really like the way map doesn't abandon a realistic, natural appearance for the sake of game playability.
Couple of things - there is a terrific natural harbor in 2,9; it looks like it would be a prime spot for a port in RL. Also, the shoreline in 16,14 appears to be a perfectly straight line along the meridian. Maybe it's just the map scale but it looks unusual.
Thanks for all your work on this terrain ! I can't wait to try it out!

Looks nice Fester
Thanks for all the time you put into this, and previous maps.

It does look neat....... you have island chains stopping fleet hiding to the extremities ............except in the west?

Ok, newbie question here...
Is this going to be a new MA, or a combat theater?
Cheers,
Spitter
It's good to make friends, even if ya have to shoot them down sometimes.

Alas .... although totally original and nicely thought out ... shades of "BigPac" in AW. Which isn't a bad thing at all. I like it. :D
