Post by: Mattibaby80 on August 22, 2000, 01:58:00 PM
Does anyone here recommend the Saitek Digital Flight Yoke?  I really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, need a new flight yoke and I'm looking for a good setup.  I already have TM Elite peddles.  What do you guys use?  What would you recommend? Thanx for any help you guys............

I dont think I could fly these fighters with a yolk(might be nice for the bombers)

Im useing CH pro pedals w/ Logitech Wingman Interceptor. I love this stick! No pots(its magnetic) 3 8-way hats(AH only supports 2, which is fine with me, I still use the keyboard for viewing) and plenty of well placed buttons. Ive had it now for 4 months, and its still smooth as silk. The price is also right, at around 60 bones.

I switch between a CH Combat Stick and CH Flight Sim Yoke...

both have 14 buttons  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Anyway, yoke has a 4 way hat, 4 rocker switchs and a bunch of push buttons. Great feel, subs for a 38 yoke in my case. Also use it for civil aviation sims.

They make one now with split throttle and mixture lever.

I bought a surplus F-16 cockpit and hardwired it all into my PC.

They had a real F16 stick hooked up to a strain gauge doo-hickey at ThrustMaster for a while that was wired for use with a PC game port.  Didn't work very well for flight sims, but it was still pretty cool!   (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I will also buy the new TM setup WHEN it comes out.

And I predict my k/d ratio will go up from 1/3 to 1/37

It will happen. Because the hotas will cost me $200

If you're talking X36 Hotas (not a yoke,I don't think Saitek makes a yoke), ya, get one. It is excellent(see hardware &software forum)
