Is that the full size Hawk or the 8/10 scale replica that is back ?
Enquiring minds need to know :D
-
You're still Maggie:D
-
lol, thanks storch!
This would be the 82% scale that I am building.
The one pictured is my friends, should test fly in a month.
Others and the full scales can be seen on my web page at: http://www.curtisshawkp6e.com
I am sure the "maggie" name will hang around for some time..I can deal with it.

Plans built, some parts pre-built, laser cut ribs and some steel parts.
Engine is the Chevy 383 Stroker, performance built, 253 hp at 3,000rpm, no-reduction box.
-
Good luck and be careful in that thing Hawk.
-
Probably one of my all time favorite photos.

nice pic:aok

3000 rpm is the max without a gear reduction box. Cruise will be about 2650 or so.
...you mean like this one?

When did you become the Thread Police? Take a shower and cool off Gomer.
-
i think that this is what this thread is turning out to be about but i could be wrong. Here let me start another thread for you.
What the hell brought this on?
-
Is that your fire fighting plane?:D
-
Hey Maggiehawk how far along are you in your rebuild?
Its a build not a re-build but thats beside the point!
I have the Basic fuselage structural cage welded up and sitting on the gear. I still have a lot of work left but it looks like an airplane...so to speak. I have both bottom wings near complete and actualy took a pic with them attached to the fuslage. I had to do that to line up the fittings and weld them into place. I have about four more structural tubes to weld up then the seats, rudder peds, formers, stringers, torque tubes, etc. Tons of work still left to do. Mabe five more years if Im lucky!
If HTC cancels my account, maybe four years to complete. Something about abusive language.....LOL! I actually affended someone. It was TOAD...BBLALLAHAHAHAHAHAhahah ahha
More on that later, I asure you!
Hey toad, #@$% you! :)
-
The one thing about Hawk, he ain't subtle. Hell I don't think that word exists in Georgia does it?:D
-
Hawk, are you related to Me163Hawk that was flying Jap jets all last week?:aok
-
OK storch your fishing right?..heheheh
It is all aircraft grade material. Steel tubing is 4130, in all sizes and wall thikness pending application. Welding is with a mig (sure to get feedback from that statement) using the same welding wire Maule Air uses on the Maules..argon/co2..yes, they mig too!

-
lol, spruce spars, birch ribs all wood cept for drag wires. No primer on them. They will be varnished when finished
-
Great to hear that they act on screenshots, Hawk.
Foul mouth me again, anytime. I'd be proud to be of assistance in helping you finish the project sooner!
Didn't your Dad ever tell you that "profanity is the first resort of the truly unimaginative?"
Guess not.

Well, I meant the arena. I doubt Skuzz is too worried about the BBS. What happens here doesn't really affect the game environment. Probably less than 10% of the player base reads the BBS and a tenth of a percent of those may check this forum.
But if you need help getting more time for the project, just repeat your unimaginative performance in the online arenas. I'll be glad to help out!
Now, try to come up with something just the tiniest bit imaginative when you reply this time.

Why dont you just drop it?
