Why am I only getting 30 fps inside the cockpit?

P4 1.7
9600xt
Cat 4.1 driver
DX 9.0b
512 meg
XP pro
1024 x 768
16 bit color
Avance AC97 audio

I would guess it has to do with the Willamette Pentium CPU you have, but that is a guess.  Could you email the output of DXDIAG to support@hitechcreations.com?  It might be more revealing.

Oh, the AC97 sound card is going to use up a lot of CPU cycles, so it will also potentially hurt your frame rate, or cause a lot of stuttering.
