Hi folks, OK my new system is running well, is stable etc but the onboard sound is somewhat lacking. I wanted to get the thing running properly first before adding the sound card.
As well as AH & general gaming i need it to be able to do some music recording so i've been looking at a couple of options and i thought i'd throw them out here for your opinions
Option 1
Soundblaster audigy2 zs platinum pro (http://www.soundblaster.com/products/Audigy2ZS_platinum_pro/specs.asp)
option 2
Yamaha SW1000XG (http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/uk/30_computer_related_products/20_soundcards/10_no_category/10_soundcards/10_no_series/SW1000XG/index.html)
or is there an option 3 ?
what do you think ?

i'm pleased with mine, santa cruz--65 dollars from turtle beach's website.

I have the santa cruz also and i love it. have my 5.1 surround hooked up but run headset mostly. great card for a good price.

Thanks fellas, i've been looking around and asking questions and settled on the audigy, it's breakout IO box and wavetable sound is a major advantage. :)
