Hi gents :)
Pick your nr. 1 plane in each planetype listed bellow, from all planes in Aces High.
1-What is your nr. 1 choice as a:
Turn and burn fighter(spit, zero etc)
2-What is your nr. 1 choice as a:
Bom And Zoom fighter(P-51, 190D9 etc)
3-What is your nr. 1 choice as a:
Jabo fighter(F4u, P47 etc.)
And pleas tell me why you choos that plane?

For obvious reasons.
Pony as BnZ'er
Well, somebody has to try and get those LA_7's
P-47 as jabo.
Loadout. for feild. and diving speed.Divebrakes. Gun loadout for feild vulching.
P-38 for Jabo'ing CV's.( at least for me)
stabbler dive platform.

I fly so many planes that I can't say I have a favorite.
I usually pick a plane based on the situation: Quantity of enemy, time to climb, defensive/offensive, Attack/Fight, Escort...
For heavy Furballing at low alts close to home (No time to climb)I love the Spit V. If I have a half sector to climb and put some E in my pocket, then I'm loving the N1K2.
For B&Z I would have to say the D9 or P51-D, but I find the N1K2 to be rather effective here too.
Jabo: P47D-30 or P38 for the total load. I like the P38 for hitting buildings in non fighter areas, but I like the P47 for Hangars in fighter areas. P47 has much better Legs (SPEED) and a huge ammo load. 8x .50cal guns put a hurting on any plane. :)
It's an awesome thing to Vulch at 400 mph in a Jug!!! :D

TnB: La-7 (good turning and good speed and accel. if fight goes bad)
BnZ: I suck at BnZ, still learning other aspects of game
Jabo: F6F (Good loadout, and can fight with alot of planes once ordinace is dumped)

Well in AH I prefer:
TnB: I like the 109G6 :) I don't usually fly TnB and this is the only plane I am flying now that will do it :)
BnZ: I dunno, I don't BnZ :) Now for energy flying I like the F4U because it does many things well; turn climb, spiral climb, dive etc.
Jabo: This is tough but, prolly the F4U again for the same reasons I listed above :) But I do like other a/c for that job too eg. the P-47, and the P-51.

1. Hurricane Mk IIc - Guns and turn radius and style.
2. Mustang Mk III (P-51B) - It's just a classy ride. Not really bad at anything except climbing and guns. Needs a better paint job though. :)
3. Mosquito FB Mk VI - Range, low level speed, guns, ammo, bombs, rockets, all in the best looking twin prop airframe ever made. Twin Merlins baby!

Turn: Spit V. While it may be a slow lady, she certainly can dance with the rest. It's a tough plane to master because it's really slow.
Boom & Zoom: P51-D. With one of the cleanest airframes, this lady maintains E very well for all B&Z tactics. Throw in its low fuel burn rate and over 1800 rounds of 50 cal, it gives you a long ride.
Jabo: P-47(30). By far, one of the best attack planes out there. With over 2000 rounds of 50 cal, centerline bombs, the ability to carry 2500lbs of irons with 10 rockets, it is the primere attack aircraft. It also has one of the best ordinance options for any attack aircraft.

Yak can kill ANYTHING as long as it not at a HUGE disadvantage, but can't JABO. F6F all around kick ass, but too slow for my taste...

1 TnB: Whichever variety of Spitfire I feel like at the moment, or the Zero.
2 BnZ: Fw190D-9 because I like its feel of power.
3 Rhubarb: Mosquito FB.VI for the reasons Funked said.
EDIT:
In truth, I mix this up a lot. The last time I flew an N1K2 I flew it as a BnZ aircraft. I also use the Spit IX and Mossie as BnZ aircraft most of the time. I also fly most of the aircraft in the planeset and thus have no fixed aircraft.

1. TNB HurricaneIIC, turns like a Zero but can roll good as well. Great gun load out, just little ammo. Also dives well for such a great turner. Plus, most importantly much style :)
2. BNZ P47-30 Hurmm.. youve fought one right? i shouldnt have to explain this one to much :p. awesome diver, good stabilty at high speeds, rolls awesome at high speeds, turns awesome at high speeds. Great flaps for low speeds, new added powerful WEP. And i shouldnt forget to mention the 8 x .50s with a collective firing rate of 6500 rounds per minute (roughly 108 rounds a second! :eek: ) you cannot go wrong, if it flies infront of you it dies :D
3: Jabo P47-30. Great range (almost 400 gallons of fuel), awesome ord load (max 2x1000lbs 1x500lbs and 10 HVAR rockets). Dive brakes and a stable diver. And also i should note the "armor" (for what its worth anyhow) helps against ground fire when diving in, but you will stil get the occasional 1 ping kill not only from the lazer armed spits but also the SAM sites at the bases. :)

P51B: Fast & scrappy as well.
F4U1C: Don't so as many of 'em now but still a beast.

Mossie - reasons mentioned above or La7 - because it blows up towns just fine, and then vulches like a merciless sonuvabeeyotch!

- Spitfire IX, have great turn, good load off ammo and a fun to fly in close combat :D
2-What is your nr. 1 choice as a:

- 190D, Good speed, great climb speed, Great dive speed with controll up to 550kmh.
Good ammo load. Can make a turn ;)
(also fvorit the P-51 tho ;), when the P-51 have the hight and speed, nothing can stop it ;)

Jabo fighter(F4u, P47 etc.)
- F4uD, It is a good fighter + a great jabo plane with multi options(rocket,bomb, fuel, good loadout with ammo), can take a hitt or two. Good B&Z plane too, so this is probely the moust multi roll plane in here :D.

P51D for B&Z... anything else is just trying to be a P51D doing B&Z
P51D for Ground attack... anything else is just hiding from the inevetible.
P51D for T&B... everything else is just shocked.

BnZ:Yak-9 (either 9T or 9U)
Jabo:Yak-9T For nothing can say "I love you" to a ground target like the 37mm of a Yak can.
Adding an extra category:
PBD (point base defense): Yak-9U with 50% fuel.
Simply put? The Yak rocks!

If there's a turn fight near a field, Spit IX, otherwise P51D.
For BnZ there is only one choice possible. The Mustang performs BnZ with style, and doesn't have any obstructions blocking your view of the dead guy.
For JABO, the P51D is obvously the most accurate, but I have a fond appreciation for the Typhoon as well. The Typhoon seems to be able to take more abuse, even though against vehicles it dies too fast. It is easily one of the fastest planes, and those Hispanos allow me to kill La7's up to 1k away (if I'm willing to degrade my gunnery). Sometimes, when I'm trying to minimize flight time, I JABO with the Tempest.

BnZ: Yak-9 (U or T depending if I think there will be buffs around)

T&B - Seafire - People think it's a Spitfire IX, and then you surprise them by turning tighter than they expected! I'll also use a Tiffie if I have to! ;)
B&Z - Tiffie
Jabo - Tiffie preferably with 2k eggs.
