I can now add this to Wife Ack.

Four times last night.

I suppose the cat will start soon.

Happens to me at least once a night and often more.  My kid is a notoriously bad sleeper.

NathBDP killed my Hurri in his 262 as I spiralled down with a raging toddler swinging off my joystick arm.

This was followed by a toe inserted in my power button.

Which was in turn follwed by my toe being inserted "somewhere else".

Learning experience for everyone I suppose.

Thanks for sharing Leviathan :)

I too will soon be blessed by toddler ack :)

But, on the subject of the foot in the power button, I'm pretty sure there is a way to make it where you have to hold the button in for X amount of seconds before it does anything.

Should be located in the bios.

Why would you be playing a video game when your child wants you to go play with him instead?

The power button is not safe anywere !!! (they have a built in sensor that finds this at the most inopertune time ) and it will get pushed.

Note if they dont hit the power button they climb quietly between your feet and hit the switch on the power strip instead.

You want to see things that you never knew Windows had ...
just let them sit at the pc for more then 5 mins .
(right clic really needs disabled here )

You all of a sudden find you have 100 deaths in AH in one day ......well guess who was playing ...

The next time you start up your pc .. you have 50+desktop short cuts to ...  Winnie the pooh toddler, Blues clues ,and Dr Suess ABC.

You have a saved game with a score of 5 bizillion and still going great .... well guess what ... your now at the begining again.

Next time you message a friend they ask you what ...
" hef ifgssrgRg   ghDRhhhhh   r4545 6%^&EAghn sjk iro "
Means ....

All your Desktop icons now have new names to them and your screen has a wierd "Mauve fusia colour to it "

You Go to print something and it makes a Scary noise ...
Well guess what .. you forgot to do the "pre print toy check"
(note this applys to floppy drives to ... they hold up to 18 quarters and misc little stuff)

You start sneaking out of bed late at night to play AH ... (and/or at work )

You have a bad case of "Sticky mouse " or the dreaded Missing Ball in your 50 dollar scroller mouse..

If any or all of the above has happened to you ... You have a case of extreame Toddler Ack !!!

There is only one cure for this ...  Give up your pc to the Toddler and go build that new scream machine you want !!!
(I advise getting duplicate joysticks, and decoy Keyboards  also to avoid the Scream Ack )

I couldn't agree more. I'm finally lining up for a clean killshot after a tough fight and the cat swats my wireless modem off the desk. *Host Connection Lost*

LOL Roo...

Mine aren't quite at that stage yet BUT...

The power button has been pressed in-game a bunch of times.  Once he even blew the power source doing it.

My boys have an incredible ability to change the shading, colours fonts etc.

I have spam from all kinds of kiddie sites in my in-box.

If I fly before the two boys go to bed I have one on my lap holding the joystick with my hand over his guiding him and the other standing in front of me waiting anxiously to hit the "F" key when a "badguy" comes into range.  The latter is frustrating because his hair ends up tickling my face constantly.

Usually, if we are in the MA they get bored and want to play "Soldier game" (BF1942).  They can only do so if there is no chance mummy will see them....our little secret.  Mummy hates it that they play that game.

I've had the power button smacked by the tail of my dog before.  Her tail is violent!  It can give you welts.

LOL at dog ack...I've lost track of how many times my lab has dropped a toy in my lap and growled wanting to play, right in the middle of a fight.

I think that dog knows EXACTLY what she's doing.

Due to a limited amount of outlets in my house..the outlet my Computer is plugged into is on a switch actually in another room (Don't ask). So imagine my suprise when one day I finally manage to get a few kills and survive long enough to get back to base..oh yeah..gonna land and get my name in the text buffer......lined up on the runway...half mile out...gear down....and BLAM the computer shuts off....AAAARRRRGGG. ...TODDLER ACK at it's finest..My 3 and 2 year olds have an obsession with light switches..I've since rewired it so the switch no longer serves a purpose but to fill the hole in the junction box.:D

When you get older and have a wife and kids, you can't lock yourself in the room.

I get in trouble when I do that. :)

The worst toddler ack is potty-training ack. When a 2-year-old says "I gotta go potty" you are out -- immediately.

And ya'll thought Roscoroo was exadurating his toddler ack post .... this was taken at 3 am last night .... I woke up to the sounds of Elmo preschool. He was so engrossed in the PC he didn't even notice he'd been caught. When I closed it down underneth the Elmo game he had AH running, online, and he was sitting in a field gun.

Funny how you can't feel even the littlest bit annoyed when you find them doing stuff like that :)

I wrote the defect tracking system that we've used where I work up until recently, and one day when visiting my son saw the server and made a bee-line for the reset switch.

Ka-POW, rebooted the defect tracking sytem and knocked a few hundred people offline, right in the middle of a crunch week as well.

Definately toddler ack.

Is the 'until recently' related to the incident??
