I dont think you can get a non "dixie" score with this test. Stop sleeping with your sisters, and get back to losing wars.
-
73% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!
damn strait!

No reason to feel bad about a low percentage, well, ok, maybe there is, but it's not like it's a measure of looks or intelligence, well, ok, maybe it is, but it doesn't mean that you're a bad person, well, ok, maybe it does. ;)

Try "I'm a Good Old Rebel" from the sound track of the Long Riders....
-
Oh I'm a good 'ol Rebel
Now that's just what I am
For this fair laaand of freedom
I do not give a damn
I'm glad I fought against it
Only wish we had won
And I won't be reconstructed
For anything I done.
No I wont be reconstructed
And I don't give a damn.
Three weeks at (gromy Raby?)
With steel and sweat and shot
We chanced upon some yankees
at Rabytown...Look out!!!
I caught your rheumatism
A campin' in the snow
But I killed a chance of yankees
And I'd love to kill some more.
Three hundred thousand yankees
Lay stiff in Southern dust
We killed three hundred thousand
Before they conquered us
We got three hundred thousand
With steel and Southern shot
And I wish it was three million
Instead of what we got.
And I won't be reconstruced
and I don't give a damn.
I can't pick up my musket
And fight 'em now no more
But I ain't a gonna love 'em
Thats for dang well sure.
I won't be reconstructed
For what I isn't am
And I won't be reconstructed
And I don't give a damn.
And I won't be reconstructed
And I don't give a damn.
I hate the yankee nation
And everything they do
I hate the Declaration of Independence too
I hate the nasty eagle
With all it's brag and fuss
But the lying, cheating yankees
I hates 'em worse and worse.
:D
Not the exact words. I have a tape where Julian Rayford (local Mobile artist in the 40s) sings this song and some other early turn of the century riverboat / local gentry songs. Unfortunately the tape got eaten by my cassette player, so I'm remembering part of this song by memory...been a long time since I heard it.

close enough theres several version in mp3 format search your fav p2p.
heres the original lyrics,
Oh, I'm a good old Rebel soldier, now that's just what I am;
For this "Fair Land of Freedom" I do not give a damn!
I'm glad I fit against it, I only wish we'd won,
And I don't want no pardon for anything I done.
I hates the Constitution, this "Great Republic," too!
I hates the Freedman's Bureau and uniforms of blue!
I hates the nasty eagle with all its brags and fuss,
And the lying, thieving Yankees, I hates 'em wuss and wuss!
I hates the Yankee nation and everything they do,
I hates the Declaration of Independence, too!
I hates the "Glorious Union" -- 'tis dripping with our blood,
And I hates their striped banner, and I fit it all I could.
I followed old Marse Robert for four years, near about,
Got wounded in three places, and starved at Point Lookout.
I cotched the "roomatism" a'campin' in the snow,
But I killed a chance o' Yankees, and I'd like to kill some mo'!
Three hundred thousand Yankees is stiff in Southern dust!
We got three hundred thousand before they conquered us.
They died of Southern fever and Southern steel and shot,
But I wish we'd got three million instead of what we got.
I can't take up my musket and fight 'em now no more,
But I ain't a'gonna love 'em, now that's for sartain sure!
I do not want no pardon for what I was and am,
And I won't be reconstructed, and I do not care a damn!

Thank you Batz!!! I will print this out and save it. Julian Rayford said on the tape, there's never been a song quite like it. It was written soon after the end of the Civil War, and described exactly how the Confederate soldier felt. It was a popular song for a long time, maybe 20 years, then wasn't heard so much after that. Time changes everything.
Thanks again for helping me out Batz. I remember the basic tune. Now I can sing it with confidence.

I picked soda and still got a 78% Southern. If I'd picked "Coke" like most in Texas call any soft drink I'd probably have scored even better.

If you're talking first cousin, it might not be blood related. A woman is your first cousin, but she is your uncle's daughter through marriage. She is the offspring of your uncle's wife's marriage. A second marriage. She is your first cousin, but not blood related.
So marrying cousins is not incest in that case. But very unusual. As far as dumbing down the gene line...would not apply in such a case. It wouldn't be incest, but would be marrying your first cousin.
It would be legal. Nothing wrong with it at all.
Try not to judge so quickly about complex matters. It probably happens up north too.

Two questions omitted I feel should be added.
#1.) Do you have a propensity to make left hand turns?
#2.) Do you rotate the tires on your house?
I think answering those two would just about clear up any doubt of being Yankee or Dixie
:D

Hehe Hajo...I drive a 1973 98 Oldsmobile with a .455 Rocket V-8 engine. I don't drive it fast because it's old. If it was in tip top condition I'm sure it would have no problem going 145 mph under extenuating circumstances.:D

I thought EVERYONE called everything coke?

Actually I was reading that in many states it is perfectly legal to marry your first cousin.
And that The dangers supposedly associated with it are basically just old wives tales.
