Title: Origin of "All your base are belong to us"
Post by: Nefarious on February 20, 2004, 12:38:11 PM: Ive been here for a long while and Ive always heard people say it. People always say it in the Main Arena and here on the forums.

I always thought it to be a Flight Sim saying that was derived in Air Warrior a long time ago. But I was shocked one day when I saw a girl in college with a "All your base are belong to us" patch on her backpack, then, last night I'm watching Futurama on Cartoon network Its the episode with the "What If machine" aka "Tales of Interest episode" Fry wants to know what would life be like if it was more like a video game. Its one of the best episodes IMO, anyway Fry is defeated in a game of Space Invaders and when the Invader Army lands, a whole bunch of Aliens from classic Atari games steps out and one of them says it.

Is the famous saying from an Atari/Arcade Classic?

It was mostly known for its butchering of the English Language.

Interesting to know it has a background.
