Got a promo from A&E and they mentioned that "Band of Brothers" will be coming to the History Channel this Spring. Keep an eye open for it.
-
Sweet.
Still haven't seen the whole thing - no HBO here.
-
Cool! I wonder if they'll edit it any. It was pretty graphic.
-
I've seen the first two episodes on DVD via Blockbuster video, but when I went back to get the next in the series it was already rented out. Hopefully I can catch it on the History Channel when they air it.
I suspect the gore will be about the same level as in the Hornblower films, but maybe THC will surprise us.
-
Faster, go and buy the boxed set. It's worth it.
-
No kidding, buy it or rent it. I can't imagine it being any good on the History Channel as they hack it to pieces to make it censor-friendly.
-
I would, but I'm a cheap bastard and don't want to part with $90 (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00006CXSS/qid=1077308591//ref=pd_ka_1/103-5767721-3941410?v=glance&s=dvd&n=507846)for the DVD set.
-
90$ damn it doesn't even cost that much up here in Canuckland
-
The DVD set is definitely worth the cost. I'm sure The History Channel will edit some scenes, but mostly for language. I also suspect it will run on one of the HBO channels again before it hits THC, so you may get another shot at recording it.
-
Saw it for $69 at Costco.

Must have. If all facets of the war could be looked at in that detail and produced with that level of quality it would keep me at the tv the rest of my life.
-
Nothing beats watching this the night before a really big hurricane hits. Makes you realise that things really aren't so bad for you...at least that was my experience on September 4, 2003.
-
just as a side note. the way they cleared the 105MM battery in the second episode is still taught as the most effective way to clear an opposed position.
-
love the show,,own it on dvd:)
-
i have the dvd set. GREAT miniseries/movie/whatever.
