Most (if not all) english professors bull pooped their way through school. By the time they got finished, they were actually convinced the crap they write is good, and the way to write is their way.
Hand your paper to a friend and ask him what he things.

i'd be more impressed with her opinion if she had said you wrote really "well."

You know, Shane, I used to think you were a tard. But you're actually quite a bright button. :) I've been reading some of your other posts... I was wondering if you were indeed American, but somewhere I read you grew up in IN.
Yes, American English. Adverbs are frowned upon. Those are the words which describe verbs and often end -ly. Words like really, badly, lazily, fruitfully, horrendously... Why they should be shunned in North America is anyone's guess. A goodnight wish here might be "Sleep well", in America "Sleep good". I was half surprised that the English teacher didn't say "you write real good".

I'm totally unsurprised you accepted the translation Vorticon forwarded as an exact quote.

No. Try telling something to someone. Tell them to memorize it word-for-word. Then have them play it back a few hours later. See how close it is to the original version.
I'm betting there is more to the story than we've been told.

i think she said your writeing is really good...in wich wich case the word "good" is perfectly acceptable
-
this would be more acceptable. now only if you could type well.
:D
and kieran, you really need to tweak your sarcasm meter a tad.
-
Your writing may be good Vorticon but your grammar is lacking. Work on it. :)

I misinterpreted what you meant Kieran, you said "translation" and I immediately thought between languages.
