Title: Doberman's Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS setup for AH

After some talk about the Cougar on Channel 1 the other night, I figured I'd post my stick config.  This is still undergoing some tweaking, as it'd stagnated while I wasn't flying for almost a year.  

Note that this stick config has NO provisions for flying targets (errrr .... bombers).  This is, at the moment, strictly for fighter & JABO ops.   If there was some desire for it by anyone other than myself, I'd be willing to develop it a bit further.

Read the included RTF file or check it out in the Foxy Thrustmaster editing program.  It explains the one change that needs to be made to the AH stick mapping and what is necessary to get engine starting & WEP on the throttle.

Comments & suggestions from other Cougar users are always welcome AND appreciated.   Half the fun of having such a high tech stick is figuring out neat programming tricks and constantly tinkering with the setup.

Looks pretty nice.  Did you ever think about putting the RPM control on the range rotary? I found that a nice touch in fuel management and landings.

Really?  I noted in the .rtf file that I hadn't put RPM control anywhere cuz I've never seen any real use for it.   It's probably that I just haven't messed with it enough to see any effect in the Main Arena.  I mostly fly the 51b which has such range that I really don't worry much about fuel. :)  Would probably be alot more useful in the thirsty fighters or bombers that are doing some deep interdiction.   I'll try playing around with it a bit over the next few days.   Yeah, the Range knob would be a good place for it.  Though if it's useful for landings, the Antenna knob may be better.  I have to move my hand position a bit to get to the Range.  I'm trying to sort out intuitive places for the bomber commands, so I'm sure I'll add it in with that revision.
