Why are you so anxious to meet someone from here anyway?

What does the remotely have to do with what I posted?
Yet another attemt at a weasel trying to be In the In crowd.
I was simply asking Any SRV fans in the area If they wished to go with me.
Now If that Is hard for you to understand testes Up your medication and see If that helps.

Lets keep this party rolling......

SRV had studio musicians perform for him on album, and he finger synched to an audio track while live. He's the Milli Vanilli of blues.
I walked by the SRV statue here at Town Lake the other day, and pigeons had crapped all over it. It seemed like a fitting tribute to such a sham.

in addition.. watch his live from Macabo (sp) video..
should dispell your myth
-
I am in full agreement with Lance on this one.

I might like to go.
I live in Waco but could make the drive.
-
What part of Waco are you in? I grew up in the Speegleville/McGregor area.
-
Im out in the sticks in a little town called moody.
-
Lance you got the url wrong on that website.
-
I was SRV play in Dallas in 89, a few months before his death.
He is as good as people think he is. Whether he 'synced' that performance or not I don't know. He didn't sync squat in Dallas.
I have also seen Pete Townsend play. He had to quit playing some of the riffs he was famous for due to arthritis in his wrist and loss of hearing. Whether SRV had the same problem could be considered.
As for studio musicians, Eric Clapton uses studio musicians as well as Carlos Santana. I don't see anyone calling them fakes:rolleyes:
-
They don't really believe SRV was a fake, they're just pulling mrblack's chain.
-
I was wondering bout that.
I mean I have seen hin in concert and he sure looked like the real deal to me.
-
Who'd want to go there and be snagged by his undead corpse and have your brain devoured?
-
... Was lance banned?

Man groovin to tin pan alley right now.

It's OK to hear voices in your head- heck, we all do- but when you start answering yourself, well, that's an indication of mental problems.

He is overrated. You chastize others for butting into your post and then in turn insult someone else. You the Pot or the Kettle. He was good. Vernon Reid would eat SRV for supper. As for music, instead of hearing the "Voodoo Chile" retreads BOTH Vaughn's have done. I prefer Pink Floyd, Queen, Zeppelin, Willie Dixon, Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, Cab Calloway and Jethro Tull. Aside from only being 30 years old, yeah, SRV is a little overrated. Sorry, if you can't listen to other's opinion, then c'est la vie.
Long live David Gilmour and Vernon Reid.

all good BANDS.....but nothing was OVER-RATED concerning SRV
Eric Clapton was driving home 1 day after a studio session....some1 gave him a recording of this new artist....Clapton put the tape in while driving home.....he actually stopped on the highway completely flabergasted by this new artist....
If Clapton says he's good....then he's good
I saw SRV from about 10 feet away.....first row seats.....and nothing was fake about his playing
-
So his last name is Rayvon?
