What was the first British Aircraft Carrier to be hit by a Kamakaze?
Extra points if you can tell me the type of plane it was.
GOOD LUCK! :aok

HMS Illustrious, 6 April 1945: A Judy (D4Y3).

HMS Indefatigable is the answer.
She was hit on April 1, 1945 (few days before the hit on the Lusty) by what was reported as an OSCAR type fighter.
Due to her armored flight deck she was back in action and launching planes again in an hour.
Good guess though Palef.

OH - I thought you wanted something that was actually damaged, not just had a few bits of aircraft alloy skip lightly across the deck :)
Cheers
