Went into marine biology because I didn't want to sit in front of a computer all day... and for the hot chick I liked.

Now I sit behind a computer all day and make maps in GIS. Funny how things work out.

I've been in continuing education programs since I hired into my company.  I'm always taking some sort of class either on hours or off hours, through various colleges (George Washington University, Green River CC,) I have a piece of paper that claims I have a Associates in Science from Highline CC, but I suppose if I inventoried all the classes I've taken since 1979, I'd probably have at least a bachelors degree..(shrugs)

Bachelors in Art/Photography – U. of Alaska, about 1992
Associates in Fire Science – U. of Hawaii/HCC, 1995
85% of a Graduate degree in Education – Regis U. Denver CO, 1999
Altogether around 400 credit hours.

My wife has degrees in architecture, interior design, and science from Kent State, OH.

Were raising 2 kids on my salary as a Catholic school teacher.

I can’t imagine that anyone has as much or more education and makes less than I.

I’m pretty happy though.  I have a great wife and 2 great kids.
