Keep it wrapped!
Half of young Americans to get sex diseases (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/040224/325/emux4.html)

If only it were that easy...
From that article:
It said three diseases -- human papillomavirus or genital wart virus, a parasitic infection called trichomoniasis and chlamydia -- accounted for 88 percent of all new cases of STDs in 15- to 24-year-olds. Wart virus is the major cause of cervical cancer while chlamydia can cause infertility.
What is more disturbing is that the student health services at a major US university (40,000 students at the campus in question) refuses to test for HPV, because they say "everybody is going to get that eventually". That forces students to either forego testing or have expensive testing performed privately (a full private-paid STD workup in that community costs $300-$400 for "the works").

That's ridiculous. Surely diagnosis and treatment should be free at the point of delivery for these type of diseases? What about HIV testing - surely it's in the interest of society to nail down these diseases instead of having people spread them unknowingly about the place?

Octavius already got a Virus .... said SOB gave it to him!:rofl

Had chlamydia in college - penicillin dont do **** against it - the only thing they prescribe penicillin for anymore is syphilis. Most strains are resiliant to it. You need a tetracycline or what they gave me instead, Zithromax - clears up in a few days - no big deal - its like a glorified urinary tract infection.
Never got any viral infections (thank you, God). They are bad news - obviously cant get rid of them - HPV, HSV, HIV, etc.
Wrap it - better safe than sorry - and even then, comdoms dont provide a large amount of protection against viral infections that rely on skin to skin contact (HSV).
You need to boil people to slep with them nowadays - you old heads never had to deal with this crap - Im jealous.

ahh to be young again
what am i saying ... i didn't get laid much back then either.

Just go to any frat party and you can see why. Getting in bed with a soreity girl is as easy as playing light bright. The big thing with the frats at my college is not to use condoms to prove that your a manly man. ****ing morons.

Exactly Saudauker. Sex has been ruined for our generation. Personally, I blame Bush...
Even when I'm pissed I'm still thinking 'safe sex'. Never had an STD (*touch wood*, if you excuse the pun), but been to a clinic for peace of mind after uni. Answering all those questions, nevermind the painful physical exam, put me off sex for... well... a whole day! ;) Scared me into being much more careful who I sleep with. No more slappers.

If you ain't gonna sack it, go home and wack it :D
That's what my old man told me when I started dating my first girlfriend back in HS....
It still makes me laugh....

Lack of moral ethics that were stripped away from the atheists in our society. No morals, plenty of sex, more disease.

HPV is the big thing here at UGA. We also have one of the highest infectious disease rates in the state (college town). Sorority and Fraternity sluts are pretty nasty. Each frat has their "potato" that is simply passed around from guy to guy, gangbangs, rapes all occur frequently.
-
Well all I have to say is:
They die, well they deserved it.......
yah i'm part of this age group and most of them are handsomehunkes and we defenatly need chlorine for the gene pool in this generation

No different at any other school.
I wasnt in a frat, but know of plenty of occurances with and without video camera that would have landed more than a few individuals in jail.
Kinda sick.
