Fox News........
During the movie The Passion of the Christ
One woman in East Wichita, Kan., collapsed during the movie and died a short while later at a nearby hospital, the local television station KAKE News reported on its Web site.
Audience members at the Warren Theatre East said the woman, in her 50s, collapsed during the segment of the film depicting Christ's crucifixion, reported KAKE, an ABC affiliate. Nurses watching the movie administered CPR, according to the TV station.
The woman was pronounced dead shortly thereafter at a hospital in Wichita, the KAKE Web site said.

That must be some movie.

Christ, everyone goes straight to blame the movie.
What about the tub of extra large triple fat layered buttery popcorn?

Hope I didn't come across as blaming the movie. That certainly wasn't my intention. I was talking to the wife and she mentioned it. I looked it up and just posted the part of the article on the movie that said she had died.
I certainly wasn't blaming the movie at all.
I have been told it is very intense. Again...I'm looking forward to seeing it.

unless u speak latin, its a visual book, to be honest the movie reminded me of Passion of Christ meets Platoon/Apocalypse Now meets lethalweapon/Die hard. Keep the kids away, wayyyyy too violent. Only thing I found a prob was in the violent scenes which there are many, you find yourself not reading subtitles anymore at times. And forming your own story at that point(IMO) Not sure what Gibson is shooting for, but if it was for a movie to cause a stir on all kinds of levels and stir emotion of your intelect , then it is brilliant. If he is trying to purvey his own ideology on society as the absolute truth than gibson must be starting to believe he IS bigger than life and that society needs his guidance as a whole.
small minded people should avoid movie, it's a movie an idea of a person, not something to take arms over. If ya feel you do than your the problem, not the solution.

Nice to see that you are part of the "higher" solution plotting everyone elses moves....

The small minded reference. I say because I can see from both sides of the fence how this could offend people's senses. And that if a movie were able to pursuade u to act because of the movie then dont go, whatever u may believe.
By the way yes I am all knowing and all powerful as I plot everybody elses moves and I do that all living paycheck to paycheck.:aok
Always thought a solution was something I did to shoot somebody down, or had alcohol in it.

Cant wait for the violence reports to come in...
"Mel Gibson's new film sparks a local 'Crusade' against Jewish families... heres Dick Hurts with more..."
"...absolute turmoil, Christy, a horde of enraged Christians are setting fire to the entire town..."
"In other areas of the country, children are reported to be playing Nerf's 'Crusifixion.' Local parents are calling for action stating that even though soft and harmless, the products sparked by the movie are sending the message to children that its ok to nail their playmates to crosses."

I went kinda sorta expecting something along the lines of "A Clockwork Orange" ... I came out thinking more along the lines of "Caligula". Well made film, nothing to get in a uproar over, There have been better biblical films and better sado films. JMOOC.
-
Does the film at least have naked chicks?
ack-ack
-
I saw a 7(estimated) year old boy with his sister 14 (est.) with their mother watching the movie... 7's a bit young for me...
As far as the lady dieing, People can be led easily, any way they chose, and in the spirit of the movie lets pray for her soul... if not we can see her in three days.. (hehe that was a funny one I might use it, Oct..)
