hey , look at the good side, you get free health care, and you can make fun of that big dumb country just to the south of you, oh yeah, you get to speak french eh?
-
:rofl :rofl
-
don't get me started!
I haven't seen a doctor in 8 years, I didn't need to, but I'm still paying for it anyways.
Here in Quebec I'm paying about 25% tax to federal and provincial governments straight off my pay check, add to that another 15% for sales tax. and what am I getting for this money well spent?
a federal government that's proping up the provincial government, who is doing sweet **** all anyways. Hell i don't even have decent roads to drive to work on, it takes 3-4 weeks to patch a pot hole unless it's on a major highway like the transcanada
free health care my ass.
-
Yes Quebec sucks that is for sure.
-
whoo..hooo! the new tax form!
At last, my taxes are going down!
I only gotta pay what I earned?
No more pushing that shopping cart along the highway for me!

Why don't you join the "Dark Side" and move the the U.S.? You know we're going to win in the end. It's sooo easy if you stop resisting and just close your eyes and sleep....

Looking at recent economic data in Canada, looks as though you might want to consider lobbying for tax cuts to help spur the economy. (http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/images/smilies/aim-angel.gif)

You are totally correct. I belong to a lobby group called the Canadian Federation of Independent Business and they have lobbied for tax cuts for years. With the new Prime Minister we have a chance that he may impliment some as he is business friendly.
Canada has has some significant tax cuts over the past 10 years but the process is slow and incrimental not like that in the US. However for small businesses the climate is much better today than it was a decade ago.

I've done my part to help stimulate your economy:

To be "jealous" I would have to want something Quebec has, or to live there. That is not the case at all. Although I have some friends from Quebec and like most of the people I meet from there, the politics are junvenile and hateful. Really disgusting and corrupt as well. The only thing sadder than the politics is that the people of Quebec support them.
Quebec is like a big boil on the face of Canada. It really is nasty and awful but you are stuck with it and there is not much you can do to get it removed.

Our usual spots. Potholes Reservoir, Banks Lake, Lake Roosevelt, Puget Sound.

Wasn't being fecal, just curious...:D
Haven't been there in awhile but i've worked all over Quebec, usually spending a good three months of a year there, IBM Bromont, De Haviland, NFB, Provost in Quebec City, Three Rivers, just to name a few.
Cheers...

Corrupt politicians? Hateful language laws? Aparthide against english speaking people? Cowards who refused to fight in both world wars? Idiots who sit and watch snuff videos in their basement and then tell a BBS all about it?
Just what is it that Quebec has that I am jealous about?

French Canadian women, they put out easy :)
ease up guys, ok.

Sorry pug must have been the aok similie that set me off.

Torque, no offense taken or meant.
Montreal's mayor just declared pot holes public ennemy number 1. :D
As for Habu, take your hate somewhere else please.
That way I can enjoy my Hendrix CD instead of reading your crap.
And some wonder why we want to get out of Canada.

We = Seperatists
It did not include you. :D
-
So leave Avro. I would be happy to see Ontario join the US and the rest of Canada can stay lovey dovey with Quebec.
Really Quebec leaving would be great for Ontario. I was sorry to see the seperatists lose the referendum.
I wonder how long your aerospace industry and language laws would last without Canadian government support?
-
No prob.. the door is over there, it's only a 6 hour flight to france.
have fun
-
If Quebec leaves, does that mean my newfie buddies will be a couple hours closer?
-
One more thing.
As long as you take your share of the National Debt with ya, don't push for Canadian Passports and Canadian Currency, have at it. Do what ya want.
Although, I have many friends who are French Canadian, and they are not in favor of seperation. It has proven to be the wants of a minority over and over again.
We don't need to go there again. Get over it.

Does this mean we'll have to annex the Museum of Civilization?

We'll play rock, paper, scissors for it. :D
We will probably never win a referendum.
I don't really care either way.
Chretien did his ***** for way too long.
At least I did not vote for him. :aok
