Switch bodies with Capt Apathy for a while. He has lived with some serious pain for a long, long time.

That's weird.
I've had two out, one molar cos it cracked after I took a punch in the mouth and one wisdom tooth cos it came through rotton and half of it fell out anyway. The other 3 wisdom teeth are fine and my jaw had the room for them not to be a problem......so I kept em which means I've still got 2 more teeth than most people.
Anyway, the molar was such a relief to have out I went for a curry about four hours after the dentist, such a huge relief of pressure from the jaw. The wisdom tooth......well I hardly noticed it, the dentist chipped it out sideways in one movement (with a hammer and chisel) and then stuck a piece of gauze in.....too far back.....where it made me throw up. And this dozy Cloggie dentist then stood there saying "you must not, you must concentrate, no do not remove the gauze" at which point I removed the damn gauze and stuck my tongue in the hole instead.
So once I'd finally got it through to this Cloggie that no I wasn't feeling sick from having the tooth out, I was feeling sick from having a piece of gauze stuck halfway down my throat I was finally allowed to put another piece in myself. Then I cycled home, the gauze got spat out at some point but by then I'd stopped bleeding anyway.
Novacaine is wonderful.

Bet medical marijuana ain't such a bad idea now.
-
Problem: Dentists always tell people not to smoke for a few days after having a tooth out. And after the novacaine has worn off.....can you imagine trying to eat a cookie? I suppose you could make tea out of it but I'm told it tastes like gnats piss.

Actually it comes in a pill form. It's not even real THC, synthetic THC. But it still works, although it does cost about 5x as much as it should.
-
Get over it already. Sheesh.

What Mini said.
Or every time your mouth hurts, just hit yourself in the groin....that should take your mind off the pain in your mouth for a while.

You probably have a dry socket. People who haven't had one can't understand how bad it hurts. Go to the oral surgeon ASAP. They can fix it in like 5 minutes.
-
My gf's socket is dry all the time now...but thats ok...she is 7,5 moths pregnats so i dont mind

A few years ago I had three wisdom teeth pulled on the same day. I had been putting on of them off for nearly 5 years before it finally got to the point where I couldn't stand the headaches anymore. The only real drawback was I had to have real surgery to have them removed and they didn't put me far enough out of it. I woke up in the middle of it as he has the pliers in my mouth cracking the first tooth to pull it out. I remember hearing the crack and opening my eyes then the damn dental surgeon shouting to someone "Oh **** he's awake give him another shot!" Then I was back out but could still hear and feel the pressure but not the actual pain.
Turns out that it took longer because the first one I had been putting off had "impacted" on another tooth and not come in far enough. Then to make matters worse each tooth had the nerve that runs through your maxilla and mandible and connects to each tooth was running between the roots of my teeth and the guy had to crush each tooth to get them out without damaging the nerve. I was down for 9 days after that and only ate soup broth and room temp water. Talk about loosing weight also...Damn I may try that again instead of working out. They gave me some damn good drugs to get through that pain.

I went in Friday and they looked and they didn't say nothing about dry socket..
I'm just toughing it out unless it gets too painful...
I get migraines and so far this is about as bad as a migraine because it's constant and never gives up like a migraine does 4-6 hours later...
