Remove spit, you made a mistke and just go fix it.
-
Really, you know that what you did is just proving a piont made by others in the CT about being bias to the allies.
They whine and they get what they want. what's up with that?

bull****
Lose the Spit Fork please, its not needed and not worth the aggravation.

What Slash said.

On the bright side, it's a good opportunity to watch and analyze how 'balance' works out with certain planes. Let's see if we can call this setup "George vs Lightning" any longer. My bet is it's gonna be practically "George vs Seafire", with the Lighting as Tonto.. or Kato.. or Robin.. or whichever one prefers.
...
The down side is, the Axis pilots get to be the gerbils in this experiment.

Actually only one person whined while the rest of us condemned the action.
So I guess the old saying is true, "It's not who you know but who you blow." Ain't that right CurtissP-6Hawk?

Actually it seemed a number of people whined about the single-fighter U.S. planeset ... but most of the requests I read were for blue planes.
Hopefully Fork will see the error of his ways and pull the seafire.
Otherwise, I'll think I'll sit out another week (getting to be a habit of late) since I fly IJN-only in PTOs.

You shouldn't sit out, the Ki-61 is never featured and is a thrill to fly against the Lightnings.

I was flying the Ki-61 vs Lightnings over the weekend. Not having a lot of success, since I seemed to encounter people who knew what they were doing. . :D But I was looking forward to the challenge.
However, it is no longer a Ki-61 vs P-38 setup.

lately they mostly blow this one being no exception. The only difference is that this one blows for the allies. a very rare occurrance indeed.
You're missing the point entirely. The planeset for the Allies this week did not "blow" by any stretch of the imagination. The P-38 matched up very well against the N1K2 and Ki-61. Adding the Seafire into the equation unbalanced an already well-balanced planeset way too much in favor of the Allies.
The problem isn't that the original setup sucked but rather that it was absolutely fine and didn't require tampering.

Exactly.

Why dont you join the CT Dev Group and propose some set ups that dont "blow"?

I got some nice fights along those lines as well. Last night I was being shot at on the runway by tanks so it rapidly devolved into a poo flinging tank battle that was somewhat out of place to my thinking. Had to get in a tank and kill a dozen M16s so I could takeoff.
Panzers on the runway of the PTO? Am I the only one who thinks that often Panzers should be left off the menu entirely?

Because who wants to be part of anything you are doing slash? Not I in any case.
oh, that cut deep, pretty much what I figured though, you rather camp out on the boards and cry about anything "Allied".
The problem arises from unfamiliarity with the equipment. I don't ever recall seeing the P38 in the CT since I've been playing. A great shame.
Actually its been here a few times but as part of a larger plane set. Its not the easiest plane to fly so its avoided. but who's fault is that?
Not everyone has 200+ hours a month to spend playing as I have. The only thing one needs to improve is time spent doing things wrong and hopefully learning from them.
With 200+ hours, why dont you hop in some of the evil overmodelled, mega-armed Allied rides and get a different perspective on your "enemies"? Oh I know why, you'd rather just piss and moan about how bad this game is and how you're going to be forced to fly that be all end all sim IL2. Well TYA bud, have fun for a change, why do something that is obviously not going to improve to your standards anytime soon if ever?
No time in the P38 = poor performance. masses of people with no time in a plane that they perform poorly in = it blows.
Well, if your flying Axis, hoardes of sucky '38 drivers sounds like a good time to me. How again is this bad for you? The sky too blue in there or what?
Tell me where I'm wrong here
Well, my guess is you need meds for being bi-polar, and you should quit giving your buddy HiTech $15 a month for something you dont like. Just a guess though.

as was stated in the other thread concerning forks decision to add the spit, just because its there - you don't have to fly it
It's not like they took the 38 out, just add a plane for the acm handicapped
all you 38 jocks who have posted outrage :) j leave it in the hangar and advise your countrymen who try to up a spitard, vi public humiliation on channel one & not aiding any spit in a furball, to do so also...

The formula for my conclusion, as it were. Tell me where I'm wrong here.
We must make plane comparisons ceteras pa rabis. You're making balance comparisons based on assumptions of relative skill levels. Naturally players who are better than others or who are more familiar with one plane over another will do better regardless of the plane matchups. So for the poorly skilled or the unfamiliar, any attempts to balance the planeset "blow."
MrFork should (and probably does) decide on balance issues based on relative plane performances rather than some nebulous expectation of pilot performances. To do the latter makes no sense whatsoever.
