Title: I had no idea... Michael Kamen... dead.

Michael Kamen (http://www.michaelkamen.com/) died last year. Saw his name show up on the "dead list". (I know... it's morbid, but it's the main reason I'll actually watch the Oscars.)

His work ranged from Highlander and Band of Brothers to Metallica S&M.

What a shame... Dead at 55.

Damn.  So much for hoping to see S&M 2 live someday.

That sucks, he was involved in several excellent theatrical productions. I liked alot, not all, of the orchestral (if thats a word) remakes of a lot of the Metallica songs in S&M.
