what is the fastest biplane fighter of WW2???
-
Er...hard one, I recall the F4F used to be a biplane, maybe that one?
-
Gloster Gladiator?
-
Cr 42 or I-153... I think the latter.
-
Polikarpov I-153 I think.
Or maybe the DB engined prototype of the Fiat CR42? I believe that could do about 330mph, not bad.

Fury

of the production fighters, it is the Polikarpov I153 which at 276MPH is just 4mph faster than the Fiat CR42.
That retractable landing gear of the I153 sure doesn't do much good :P

Fairey Swordfish :rofl (90 knots...)

And yet they sunk the eye-talian fleet.....

Well the most firing went over them, major bummer for the Italians :aok
