Title: PhotoShop Question (and skinning)?
Post by: MC_Honky on March 02, 2004, 09:53:02 AM
What's the difference Between PhotoShop Elements and regular PhotoShop - when it comes to functionality?

I'm a budding skinner - I want to skin for AHII and maybe Fs2004 and I'm wondering -is PhotoShop Elements good enough for skinning?

Photoshop is the real deal.
Elements is a dumbed down version with many preprogrammed macros that you can create anyway with Photoshop.

Is Elements enough? Probably, it can deal with layers, transparencies and you don't want the full power of photoshop for that anyway.

If money is an issue, there is always GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/) .

I heard the GIMP suxs for doing skins.  Infact- there is a thread on AHII BB saying that the GIMP suxs and just go ahead and buy real software for skinning.
