Title: far off request for ah2 terrain editor: Airfield layout editor
Post by: Citabria on March 04, 2004, 11:44:05 AM
I could do amazing things with a program that allowd me to design the actual airfield runway and taxiway layouts.
simple functions that would allow the width length and location etc of taxiways and runways.

with a set of textures for the runways and taxiways that can cover the basic types:

concrete
asphault
dirt
packed dirt
coral
grass
pierced steel planking

That sounds interesting Fester.  One thing of WW2 history that I am interested in is correct airfield layouts, especially the different surfaces.  Look forward to your results!

Cant you do that currently in terrain editor? Selecting the Buldings, textures ect off the individual objects list. Then save those objects, edit textures to your wishes, and then "rebuild" the airfeild as you wish and save as a group shape?

yes but you cant edit the actual object

you can only take smaller objects and piece them together.
